Sorry but there are lot of people starving before and after the change. Simply blaming a software is doing a disservice to the issues at hand.

Flow control using js is very simple. For the example you linked it should have used smaller components. Jsx is all about components. I cannot go back to string literals.

Those numbers would grow as most users move to smart phones. Mobile would be their Internet enabled device.English would still be common language. Millions are using WhatsApp typing in Hinglish, kannglish etc(typing in local language kb is cumbersome)

There might not be many online local languages business sites but when you have to do purchase offline it done through local languages. Some of them don't have written written script yet spoken daily by millions.

At end of day someone needs to take those trash for recycling or dumping. Garbage collectors don't come to each house in most cities in India. I live i tier 2 city. Garbage collection from each house started recently. Now you garbage bins are rare. City is one of the top ten cleanest city in India. But to note that total population of city is very less, its highly educated.

The ultimate goal is that people in the industry say "we've heard of you." - I have purchased items based on just that. If there are multiple options then its easier to choose the one you have heard before be it from a ad.

Got the same issue initially. The guide does not document the additional packages that needs to be installed. You need to install elm-lang/html package.

Traffic lights are not an issue. Its present in most towns as well. Most of the time if you break a traffic light you would not be penalized. Usually there won't be an policeman nearby. Even they are present they do not implement the law.

I heard these kind of stories as well. But the driving school where i went specifically mentioned to help injured passengers. Maybe times are changing.

Driving in India is kind of insane. You need some skill to navigate the roads without hitting anyone. Need to watch all around. But in cities traffic moves very slowly so you can manage it.

React is just for view layer. Its not much complex. Its simple enough to add to normal pages let alone SPA.

You don't need all of them to create a modern js app. I use just browserify and watchify with node scripts under package.json. Simple to copy and modify for new projects.

There is nothing stopping from creating a single page app in rails. I have a SPA running on rails 3 using backbonejs. Some parts of which now use reactjs.
