Re:Ask HN: How to get fast cellular internet in rural areas on Wednesday September 21, 2022 @04:14PM (#32930916)
I only had about one bar on the phone and I used one of these for a while before I found a WISP in the area. It worked pretty good, gave me about triple the bandwidth going from about 1.5-2 mbps to 6-7. I plugged it right into the verizon mifi puck and just bridged the wifi it outputs to connect it to my home network. Used a weBoost for inside the house to improve other phone signals and still have that setup, it kind of worked for the puck but the external mimo was a lot better.

You can call them to get more details on the ideal setup for your towers/network.

Pigeon, like most bird poop is very high in N.
Yet I don't think this is what CBS wants people to take away from this. The CBS headline says terrorism and goes on about the government's report confirming but most folks won't even read past that headline.
To be fair and for what it's worth, xfinity mobile is pretty great. It's on the verizon network and most months I pay $12 for the single gig plan. unlimited is 45, then again you just read another ad for Comcast. sorry i guess
I'm currently trying to buy one, best quote I got was 3k U.S. for a 20ft but that did include $900 for shipping.
How would it work? Airborne poop particles? I've never seen my septic guy get poop on themselves and certainly not in themselves.
How do they collect this information? Are they conducting interviews with staff? under what pretext?

How does the bank make money when it's zero interest loan? Serious question, the article didn't mention anything about it. I'm sure it still costs a few bucks in fees to get the loan but isn't the interest where the real profit is?

This is probably the path of least resistance to get what it sounds like you want. I use a GoControl Z-Wave Thermostat and home assistant.
to each their own I suppose

Piracy is fantasy?
How right wing, we talking dailystormer?
Websites that override my scrolling are almost as obnoxious as sites that auto-play audio/video.

Don't forget the 65K in hot dogs.

This made me laugh out loud, what monster can downvote this?
There is often a minimum square footage requirement for new homes in most U.S localities. Putting the house on wheels generally skirts these restrictions.

This escalated quickly, murdering elected leaders...c'mon guys wtf.
First step was making sure you can actually get quoted a price for that service. I might choose to go across town if it saved me $40K.

As long as it doesn't come mandatory with the mark of the beast...
I really like the app but that monkey icon turns me off big time, allow me to not have the monkey and I'll buy it for sure.
I really curious what was their tact with that? "We see based on your record that you're not worth as much as we thought..."
nginx and lua is great. I just used it for a project POC and it's very cool to have that kind of flexibility for a load balancer.
It's states not cities.

and as I understood it the spanish flu was rough but mostly it was so deadly because there were no antibiotics to treat secondary infections. And don't forget about lack of respirators.

True, that one is a little wild but there is also another angle as to why 5g is "bad": https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22480444
Re:Pentagon Knew of Possible Coronavirus Threat for Years on Monday April 06, 2020 @12:41PM (#22795207)
This statement is hyperbolic nonsense:

"He single handedly dismantled the CDC when he became president[0]"

Few quotes you might have overlooked:

"repeatedly attempting to slash funding..."

" proposed a 20% cut to the CDC’s emerging and zoonotic diseases program"

Congress did not let this happen and has actually INCREASED the CDC budget.

The actual enacted program budgets for the CDC in 2016 and 2017 were both under $7.2 billion, but for 2020 the budget Congress adopted for it is nearly $7.7 billion.

"dismantle the CDC"- Please, give me a break...

don't you mean trillion?
Indeed. It's one of the Atlantis theories. Idea is that as North American ice disappeared the land lifted up, Atlantis was on the other end of that plate and went down into the sea respectively.

Randall Carlson has some interesting theories.

I think the main assumption is the remaining 97% of people are working with reduced output if they are working at all. Just because you didn't die doesn't mean you went to work and put in 100% of normal effort.
