Yes and the last thing I want to do is to integrate my life with best ad business in the world

Tell your muse to talk to their support muse to resolve this

For me it was "head to head" table. Typical complete nonsense llm-generated comparison table. Rest of the content is still quite good tbh, generated or not
Re:iPhone Duo on Thursday September 10, 2026 @07:07AM (#49641677)
They should make 20" iPhone Ultra with latest amd threadripper, dslr camera and a diesel generator to power it on the go

Sure anyone will be very excited to buy it instead of lower end, worse battery & camera iPhone 18 pro

How are you gonna do mandatory age verification on a full fledged computer?
Re:I resigned from Anthropic today on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @02:39AM (#49622120)
Global warming: yes, kinda can wipe humanity, but I think much less likely

Nukes: zero possibility of extinction

Wealth inequality: this one is driver of progress, opposite of extinction

War: another driver of progress, also will always naturally stop before every single human is dead

Re:I resigned from Anthropic today on Wednesday September 09, 2026 @02:32AM (#49622048)
Because nuclear war balances itself: more nuclear bombings = less nuclear weapons, less people to send them. It will naturally stop at some fraction of humanity left which is incapable of making and launching more nukes
Re:Grok 4.6 on Thursday August 13, 2026 @01:09PM (#49288942)
Kinda good, but burns a ton of tokens compared to sol. Gave it mid sized task, it burned entire context on thinking and then compacted after first edit. Sol would use 20-30% of context in comparison

dynamic linking was invented pretty long time ago
Will be capable and fast enough for 2-3 weeks until new sota drops
Re:The AI Productivity Gap on Monday August 03, 2026 @12:26PM (#49157921)
I'd say for reference "senior developer" the main problem is spending full 1.5 hours on meetings each day
And wipes the main partition in the background at the same time

Also too patriotic is sus. Better to keep some minor offenses (that give you a fine or a week of jail at most) on that partition so they will think that this is the thing that made you so nervous during the search

I run with full admin rights in hopes I'm not the highest priority target for hacks and I will read about the attack on hn before it affects me personally

Learn what? How to count to 5?
Very clear position: they want absolute control over both companies and citizens
You asked for maximum effort, you got maximum effort
Also C++ engineer, but from my perspective, for large tasks, agentic coding is still lacking no matter how well I describe desired output. So in that cases I fall back to manual coding and cursor tab helps a lot with boring parts

actually, they added exclamation
Apple should add "promotional notifications" section to iOS, then ban everyone who don't put their marketing bs into that category
I hope singularity kicks off and destroys humanity before I see what AI user experience is going to become
I think better approach for "ghost keys" would be requiring X amount of crypto to be sent to 0x0 (burning). Current implementation (requiring donation to freenet) basically gives freenet foundation infinite reputation (including any other potential project that would accept ghost keys as identity), kinda breaking the decentralization aspect

I think it's a good idea regardless of healthcare availability

Re:US Bill Mandates On-Device Age Verification on Friday April 17, 2026 @06:20AM (#47804368)
least bad way to implement age checking is just asking user
What if air defense technology improved a bit during the last 36 years?
As a russian I'm repulsed by both english and russian slop the same way
Re:Windows 11 Notepad to support Markdown on Wednesday February 25, 2026 @11:32PM (#47161871)
just nuke notepad in favor of zen-mode vscode. It has everything you want from text editor and it does it quite well
> It feels like someone changed the keyboard to optimize for some typing behavior that doesn't match my own

I want the keyboard to work the following way -- after I press the button: 1. Letter that I pressed (not a random one) appears 2. Instantly

iOS keyboard somehow fails both. I have no idea what "typing behavior" can you optimize for to end up like this

Re:Why is Singapore no longer "cool"? on Monday February 09, 2026 @12:40PM (#46948234)
Any real recent examples of this, specifically in Abu Dhabi or Dubai?

In cursor, GPT models already have +Fast options that work faster with 2x price
