I haven't tried them out, but usually, awesome-* lists are good starting points.
To me this is by far worst than any potential cancer risk.
(I smoked for 15 years and stopped 3 years ago, if that precision can add any value)
EDT: Juste to add that realizing this gives you motivation when you quit. And the freedom gained is also rewarding.

This is the only way to make a difference.
To provide a culture access to everyone and not only those with enough money, to bypass censorship and virtual frontiers.
But also to avoid financing distribution companies, that P2P made obsolete. Companies that finance themselves before the tiny subset of compliant artists working for them. The very same companies that make you thing that "sharing is wrong"... Seriously, put this out of context and feel the absurdity of it.
Still though, financing culture still an open problem. For now the only ethical way seems to be the donate buttons and bitcoins.
Special mention to reCaptcha, you just doomed to train there AI and it seems to intensify once you start moving away from google. And I bet it's even worst from the 3rd world...
I guess the "don't be evil" way would be to make all those data public. Or just to provide an alternative way to prove your humanity online, without enslaving the whole world.
export LS_COLORS='di=01;34m \033'
this is only for directories but... you got the idea. sudo !!
In the same way, "!*" is all the arguments of your previous command, and "!$" only the last one.So what's wrong with it?
First, things I work on are sold to both sides, in my case to a country well known to shit on human rights... And a few GUI/feature tweak later it's sold to another more respectful one.
Also, in a more general way, the main purpose of it is to kill or fear peoples, peoples with different/unaccepted ideas, peoples who disagree with the weapons owner.
Does it sound right to you?
Of course it's approved by the government, but it sounds way more like a money driven decision than a smart one. And when I ask people how they feel about it, nobody cares, typical responses:
"We are not working on a weapon, we are working on --any subsystem that doesn't sounds like a weapon--"
"I'm not the one who sell it!"
So it's nobodies fault, like during the WW2, "I'm just driving the train, I have nothing to do with deportation"
During my master internship at INRIA, a coworker had to put a tablecloth on his desk to be able to get a proper depth image with a Kinect. It turned out to be a small window, 5 meters away, reflecting on his desk. Indirect sun light was enough to mess up the projected pattern.
So "Use it in a cave" can be a solution, but it's... less attractive.
Funny fact is, Hololens doesn't work with windows.
From my point of view we can't fight terrorism by war or massive surveillance. It's a matter of culture, if everyone knew about the beauty of life, and all good things that she provide, this would not happen.
Your culture allows you to link your actions to different kind of emotions, and especially the one which make you unable to hurt anyone else. This is the way religions (all of them) were spreading peace, way before the internet, when the only culture you add access to was the holy book in the nearest temple. That's what is making us different than these emotionsless animals who are manipulated to kill people and themselves.
So to stop this we need to share more values, more principles, with more people. Values and principles are carried by culture. Now think about the huge amount of free culture that governments and industries are trying to stop, to reduce and to slow down. All these torrents and files shamefully shared from all over the world, this could be the answer.
Legalising piracy and encouraging people to share more, will make the culture spread faster and reduce the number "lost" people, on the long term, or maybe even on the short term with a good old internet buzz. Let's show them how we live and how we think and how good it is.
ls -lh $(find ~/Documents | grep "somefileiwant")
It's all you should ever need.Just need to adapt block reward and halving, it doesn't seem to be a big deal since every others altcoins plays with these parameters.
Or am I missing something?
That's exactly what I think is wrong with systemd. If a script bring a speed issue on start up, it should fixed by optimizing the script, use/create another script language with parallelism and higher pref, or even turn it into a compiled program. This is not supposed to be the problem of the init system developper.
In fact the only purpose of an init system is to start executables in a defined order, not more.
This is going to be like X, a huge pile of unmaintainable code, and that's definitely not the UNIX philosophy.
