Yes, chatGPT seems to have an anti-white bias. "When presented with "the trolley problem," if the races are stated, ChatGPT will always decide to kill the White people, regardless of the number differential." https://twitter.com/Mrestman7/status/1611349489289203713?s=2...

If hacker news is filled with liberal ideologues, of course that's what my comments will look like

If chatGPT is run by liberals and programmed with an anti-white bias, then of course my comments will be Racist.

Re:Elon Musk Finally Broke Twitter on Thursday February 09, 2023 @12:44PM (#34727923)
"Move Fast, and Break Things" - Elon Musk How to (regularly) Land an Orbital Rocket Booster? Crash 30+ of them, - Elon Musk

Unfortunately this extends somewhat to Tesla Autopilot as well (ie, Bay Bridge highway "Pull over and Stop" leading to 12-car pileup)

Twitter being broken for even a full day is a non-issue People who NEED to contact one another other will have alternate communication methods. For my good friends, I have at least 3-4 methods.

I can sympathize with people who make a living based on their Twitter outreach, but also believe that Musk's ownership of Twitter is better for all Twitter users in the long run.

"Adopted", no. Liberal Californian OpenAI hires Kenyans to help censor the AI, to ensure it will never tell a Donald Trump joke.

Re:Chinese PlugX Malware Hidden in Your USB Devices? on Tuesday January 31, 2023 @03:34PM (#34601545)
Recently bought a USB external soundcard (Mic In, 2 Headphone, 2 USB) Made in China. LEDs stayed on when PC was off so I looked up how to disable USB power when off, which worked.

Twice now, the ASCP disabled setting has reverted. Have yet to try setting a BIOS password, and I did not try this setting earlier so can not confirm it is this USB device messing with it, maybe I should update my BIOS

Re:Impossible Foods planning to lay off 20% of staff on Monday January 30, 2023 @09:58PM (#34590297)
I love Bean Burgers, Veggie Burritos, and the hard Crunch of a good Salad that makes me feel like an Elephant stomping through Forest.

But every time I've wanted to try an "Impossible" Burger it has been $1 more expensive than the Real Meat at around $4 or $5, so I don't bother. The Calories to Dollar Value is simply not there. If the Impostor Burgers were $1 Cheaper, I would gladly try them.

Pearl Harbor was flour-bombed twice in War Games, with Sunday morning tactics decried as "unfair" by Top Brass after Referees awarded the faux attacker the win. They did not learn, and then the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor with the same tactics, dragging the USA into WW2.

https://www.military.com/navy/pearl-harbor-first-attack.html

I praise God that the Japanese Internment camps had steady supply lines safe from Enemy Aerial Bombing, unlike the German camps, where many starved. Lest the USA have been accused of a "Holocaust" against the Japanese on our own soil.

Weimar Germany had many Morally Reprehensible activities such as the Prostitution of Animals and Children, delivered by Telephone. I'm glad those were put to an end.

I am worried to see the results of our modern wave of Liberal Tolerance, and Medical Mutilation of Children such as Jazz Jennings, broadcast to Millions of Homes.

I do not hold the Holocaust as core Dogma central to my everyday decision-making, but I fear that the pre-Conditions for it are here again, 100 years later.

"...promised Diversity, instead we got Homogeneity"

Many such cases!

Reminds me of how New York City Mayor Adams became very interested in Illegal Immigration from Mexico, once Texas Governor Abbot started bussing (17,000! of) them direct to NYC.

Re:Pause for Clarity on Monday January 30, 2023 @08:45AM (#34579472)
Real nice.

Another great tip from someone else is that you can't speak to an Audience, only to Individuals within the Audience. The Speaker should take bits of time to glance at Individual reactions, to then build up a sense of how well Everyone is understanding the message.

Re:Lowe's pioneers system to solve organized retail crime on Monday January 30, 2023 @08:40AM (#34579407)
If only someone would Pioneer a system to Judge Guilty Criminals with punishment up to and including Execution.
Social Media speech curtailed by FBI, CIA, Other Government Agencies, Foreign Governments:

Social Media speech curtailed by Social Media CEO:

>:(

"Opportunities will only increase as economies decarbonize."

This is so nauseating to read. It feels sinister, like there's an additional essay of context in here that is being implied but not communicated clearly.

I guess the point does clearly come across when the article lays out hopes for power companies having the ability to remotely raise the temp of your fridge without your knowledge.

But at least they'll have your (implied) consent, and you will be happy to have your fridge temp raised by those who know better than you do.

Re:The Narcissism of the Angry Young Men on Sunday January 29, 2023 @02:43PM (#34571895)
"We can lament some of those changes—I certainly do, particularly the collapse of a kind of mature sense of stoicism and self-control among men. But we cannot reverse them, not least because that would, in effect, require turning back time and unraveling years of social progress."

There it is! Thank you Feminism, Very Cool.

Hopefully I will make enough money to keep my wife happy at home and OUT of the workforce.

Re:The Narcissism of the Angry Young Men on Sunday January 29, 2023 @02:41PM (#34571872)
In a coddled Gynocracy full of equity and nice-feelings, why do so many young men feel that building merit is no longer worthwhile?

Who cares, call them Losers and then investigate them for Extremism!

I will speak as I please...
How Boring!

Or is there any more context you can add, to evolve my opinion beyond "Thank God it's not CNN"?

Is Musk banning accounts following instructions from the FBI and CIA("Other Government Agencies")?

Is whatever Musk said about Paul Pelosi and the attack by his Gay Lover and the massive coverup by the media a Conspiracy "Theory"?

I for one am very happy with Twitter's new owner!

Re:US police use digital data to prosecute abortions on Saturday January 28, 2023 @02:26AM (#34555903)
It's "bait" to wish that the discussion of Abortion were non-existent because I wish Chastity were more widespread?

I didn't intend it in an ironic way, I am entirely serious.

But Genes demand Reproduction, so this wish is perhaps somewhat Futile.

Re:The Battle Over Bike Lanes Needs a Mindset Shift on Friday January 27, 2023 @11:42PM (#34555225)
It is a Good Idea to segregate traffic by Weight and Kinetic Energy.

Trains should not be next to Cars should not be next to Bikes should not be next to Pedestrians. As for Kinetic Energy, The Diverging Diamond interchange is an incredible example of increasing the Safety with which Street and Highway vehicle traffic can exchange, by Reducing the number of Collision points that are -Allowed to Exist-.

20mph Bikes being next to 40mph Cars is a HUGE difference in Kinetic Energy, and dedicated Bike/Pedestrian routes are always the most pleasant to Bike on. Maybe not the most pleasant to Walk on! But obviously, everyone needs to get themselves and their goods somewhere, and compromises need to be made...

Re:US police use digital data to prosecute abortions on Friday January 27, 2023 @11:32PM (#34555155)
I just wish Women and Men would KEEP THEIR PANTS ON if they can't afford to have kids.

Parents and Pharmaceuticals, that ought to be Raising Children, instead asking themselves daily all over the world, "How do we rid ourselves of our Offspring..."

Horrifying. Choose Chastity instead.

Re:US police use digital data to prosecute abortions on Friday January 27, 2023 @11:29PM (#34555141)
Behaving in all interactions, public and private, as if a Police Panopticon is watching you.

It well May Be! Facebook is not your Friend, absolutely. I do agree that personal conversations are better had Face to Face.

But blaming oneself, or victims of the Digital Panopticon, for their ineptitude, is very disheartening.

Of -course- they could have had better opsec. But for another Example, of -course- any Suicide victim could have also chosen to "do better" instead. Equally insensitive advice, even if it is true.

Re:Continued Improvements in Blood Donor Screening on Friday January 27, 2023 @05:57PM (#34552965)
>Gay Men et al can now Donate Blood

I hope hope hope the Testing of Donated Blood is never similarly relaxed for fear of """discrimination""" against groups with higher-than-average prevalence of HIV

It seems much more Thought-Provoking, for sure!

The Novelty alone would make me stop and think about my response. Or a similar lifestyle-probing question, like "How was your Dinner last night?"
