I have this amazing new thing I'm making, nothing like it, better than everything else. Here's a prototype that does none of that and is _barely_ functional. Care to invest $2000? If so, do I have a bridge to show you...

That's being pedantic. The first public announcement was many years ago.

The first release was just Go's parser ripped out and bolted onto a barebones first year of college level compiler, and touted as "safer than Rust", "compiles in milliseconds", etc. but didn't even have real type-checking at the time, nor did it free memory, and many other basic functionality. Furthermore, I vividly remember the author's Patreon advertised at the top of the page back then, and for a while he raked in a couple thousand dollars a month for it.

However, over the years some actually talented people (and nowadays probably LLMs) have somehow sort of fixed most of the biggest warts, but it's still nowhere near what it advertised in that first release.

How this scam language gained traction is beyond me.
Probably a cash grab to burn through users' usage credits before everyone switches to OpenAI or Kimi this weekend. I've lost all trust in Anthropic over these Fable shenanigans.
Would Revelations still be considered doomscrolling?

Highest uptime websites will be there, I’m sure of it.

Quite the packed release! I've been using the beta branch for a while and omitting uninhabited branches has been nice and clean.

I used UE4 professionally a few years back, and at the time ortho cameras were effectively unusable. Landscape actors were rendered at the worst LOD, for example, with no workarounds. Glad they're finally bringing them up to parity.
W10 Pro for Workstations, kept up to date.

Never had any issue like this until I had to replace a monitor, and the newer one doesn’t keep HDMI/DP signals alive at all when the display sleeps, causing Windows to think it disconnects.

It’s such a stupid and common thing that the “PersistentWindows” tool exists to put the windows back in position after W10 fucks up everything from the monitor disconnect. So it’s not a stretch to think dwm.exe has issues with it as well.

I do run a few VMs and servers on it. Plus opening back up all my work after a restart is a pain.
No, I still encounter massive lag spikes with dwm.exe after a few weeks of uptime, and restarting the process fixes it. However, I get lag in the Windows UI itself, not games. I think it has something to do with one of my monitors always disconnecting from the computer when it goes to sleep, so Windows acts like I'm constantly plugging and unplugging the monitor multiple times a day, for weeks. Leaks like 200-500MB+ each time, and dwm.exe is often using close to 3-4GB when I kill it.
