And Zoom could, too, if they cared. (And by the way, I use Zoom in browser with Wayland when required by <obligation>, and it works fine.)
Once again, people miffed at Linux because closed source app developers are lazy and don't give two shits. (Which would be and often is a pain for plenty of other reasons than Wayland.)
But then again, I know there's a bunch of Nixers that pick their head up slightly, shake it, and then just go back to work on actually interesting problems instead of a millionth discussion about dealing with npm. Christ, the stuff people put up with.
EDIT: Ironic, this being here along with the CISA/log4j post where everyone is yammering about SBOM (software bill of matearials). Again, I just glance over at Nix and go, "sure, what do you want to know, I can tell you instantly if log4j is anywhere and if it's a vulnerable version (excluding non-source-built packages in nixpkgs)".
I get that you have opinions, but you seem to have entirely missed that the runtime is downloaded at build time and included in the bundle. And god forbid if you like doing everything by hand, you don't have to use Nuget and you can manage every last dep by hand, however you like (and you'll likely end up hacking something that is less usable than just setting up a private nuget server, but "opinions").
If they're 99% the same, it's generously easy to assume that there's a material difference. That assumption is completely nonsensical if they're 100% identical.
So no, for the sake of every bit of context in this conversation, it does not make sense that you'd bring up an unrelated scenario of "similar" binaries.
