Re:Ask HN: Are tab completion models dead? on Sunday October 25, 2026 @10:49PM (#50238492)
I still want it for small edits. When I'm renaming a field or filling in a match arm, opening an agent is slower than hitting tab. I use agents for anything that required codebase exploration and changes across multiple files , and prefer completion for changing 2 lines in my portfolio website for example.

Re:The State of Context Engineering on Sunday October 25, 2026 @10:38PM (#50238432)
Forgetting is the part I see break first. Old facts in memory don't get deleted, they get contradicted, and the model happily picks whichever one is closer in the prompt. What's worked better for me is having this really cool way of jev compaction, there was a youtube video out there somewhere that spoke about how to get compaction to be super fast, cheap and have it retain the most useful information from the context compaction.
