Isn’t llama2.c was just a fun project for Karpathy?

When I compared llama2.c to llama.cpp it was way way slower.

All the mojo <insert number>x speed up claims I’m hearing about always use the baseline of some toy examples that nobody actually uses IRL.

Am I missing anything?

Thanks for sharing.

I'm using 2080ti for my "at home" projects and going above CUDA 11.0 is indeed breaks lots of things - good luck trying to make something like colab/kaggle docker image for DS where you have TF+torch+sklearn+more combo.

Would you mind sharing resources you used to assemble your software/driver stack for 3090x2 setup?

renters in Bay Area are on h1b visa and don't have the right to vote. Speaking of modern age colonialism

What if I airbnb a room in my personal property house? Do I get "eaten as a landlord" in case I need to evict a freeloading squatter

And then the bar of criminal charges for theft is getting higher and higher. In San Francisco nobody is getting bothered by a "criminal according to old stat rules" going through a row of parked cars smashing windows and grabbing everything in plain sight anymore. Not even arrest record would show up in modern stats. We are totally safe these days

San Diego, Newport Beach and other "Beach" cities had trump boat rallies throughout this year. Just saying

If we take the water-flow economy, CA is absolutely on a full dependency of a federal government. Water is ain't cheap

Bose QC 35 II work exactly as you described. Yes, Previous Beats Studio bought from Apple failed to deliver such experience, hence why Apple spent some dough on custom connectivity chips, but proper headphones OEMs figure it out as well with just latest Bluetooth generation

Modern Adobe cracks are note that different in nature

Today I was late to join a corporate conference call. It took like 5 mins to start conferencing software.

First time ever I'm genuinely frustrated with apple - macs are not those unicorn tools anymore that work reliable

Re:How journalists use youtube-dl on Tuesday October 27, 2020 @05:40AM (#24905784)
I was living a few blocks away from YouTube HQ building and with 1gigabit up/down fiber optics cable had YouTube stutters. They [YouTube] definitely don’t optimize for that

“Thunder Valley” experience at Sonoma (is the first row experience next to beginning of the launch strip) is a worthy upgrade
What are you talking about. Loss porn on r/wsb is great entertainment and scratches the “cautionary tale” itch very well. You can’t say that Robinhood users do that to themselves without consent at this point in time

Pandemic messed up the whole supply chain. This is P0 for Tim, everything else pales in comparison

Free Society doesn’t benefit much from the hammer that does the nails the best of the best. Society benefits more from the good hammer that finds the right nails to handle. Thus, rewards the latter behaviour more

Imagine only union worker could move kanban cards between columns
Just imagine complains after Silicone Valley unionisation - only SWE Union worker could spawn an EC2 instance or migrate a database...

Dystopian world ahead of us

If you scroll through the comments you would find union supporters that unironically think that union should be a “unified force” that represent the workers, thus, being that monopoly
> Unions are about democracy in the workplace. If everyone is in a different union, there can be no legitimate democratic decisions on behalf of the workers.

Wut?! TIL where people got the belief that single communist party could rule democratically. We all know how about those experiments played out in history

The goal is to prevent public profile with your real data first. If they publish backup of your profile it would be next level violation of trust
Re:The iPhone 11 Pro’s Location Data Puzzler on Wednesday December 04, 2019 @08:46PM (#21709246)
what services would you like to keep location turned on then? Why do you trust them to have access all the time and at the same time you don't trust apple themselves for useful features like "find my phone"?
