It is definitely their choice to remain homogeneous. One way or another that choice will have strong consequences be they good or bad.

I live in nyc and owning a car is totally worth it. Today I drove to costco and sams club for some shopping. Tomorrow I'll drive to the jfk airport to pick up family. The freedom and convenience I get from it makes owning a car great. Even in NYC. Sure, I can go without a car but frankly it is a pain in the ass to go to costco or to the airport without. Convenience is my highest priority and owning a car is very convenient.

Is like trying to help your drug addict friend get better. No matter what you do if they don't help themselves it is a lost cause. Eventually you just have to keep going with your life and wish them well.

I guess everybody is different. Having anybody depend on me makes me feel depressed. The only thing that truly makes me happy is working on my own projects. Anything that seriously distracts me from doing this is my enemy. I'm ok with spending a small percentage of my time with family but more than that and I will probably fall into deep a depression followed by a really angry backlash from me. Which is why I will probably never have a family. I don't think I can dedicate them the time they deserve.

So anytime now the first nations people are going to be kicking out all of us from the USA, I guess.
