Retirements imply a regular payment called a pension, either from the government or from a private fund that you contribute to during employment years. It doesn't seem to be the case with the author.

I have used flipstory.com (no longer in business) in 2011 cu create 2 very nice flipbooks. It was 7,99 Euros, transport included from France to Romania. I still enjoy it, I keep it beside other family photos, as it's my months old son crawling on the floor towards the camera.
Good luck!

You can walk that much if you are healthy, have roads, have enough food and water, good clothing and shoes, there are no dangers that must be avoided and if you know what your destination is. If you have to stop daily to get food (hunting or gathering fruit), avoid or fight dangerous people and animals, figure out best ways to get along while carying whaterver possesions they had, shelter from bad weather, prospect for places to settle permanently or temporarily then it's a completely different story. It's also not like they had a deadline or something.

From a 4-by-4 inch square you can make 4 2-by-2 inch squares, therefore the loss from 4 small squares would be 0.86x4=3.44, same as one large square.

"Most cans" you see there are the small ones. But as the quantity grows, it is the height of the can that grows, and not the diameter.

You could blame Boeing for not taking control of the planes from the ground and prevent the terrorists steering them into the towers.

The dangerous precedent I see is Microsoft making justice for itself (with authorization from a judge, but still, when did Microsoft become law-enforcement?).
Blaming Microsoft for building "vulnerable software" because someone is targeting their OS with their malware is like blaming Boeing because their planes were used for the 9/11 attacks.

It's kind of the same in reverse - does a parent encourage their children to embrace a risky sport/activity (karting, skiing, diving etc.) or keep them in the safety of home for fear of accident or death? We wouldn't have F1 or IndyCar drivers, ski jumpers, etc. if all parents were too protective. It's difficult to find the right balance and to give a perfect recipe and it would be impossible to eliminate all risk.

Re:Romania is developing its own culture of protests

Actually, his name was always Iohannis, because in the communist period (when he was born) the state would try and romanize all foreign names. I know quite a few Hungarians in my home town who were given untranslatable Hungarian names just to avoid having their name translated to Romanian. The same happened during the Austro-Hungarian rule of Transylvania (<1918) but, of course, the other way round.
Back to the President, indeed he used Johannis before the election because his family has always been called like that. Since going into the election campaign he switched to the official spelling that would appear on the ballot and in all the documents that he signs.
