So what happens if someone uses some of these credentials and enjoys free AI for as long as they are active? Just curious if this is is criminally enforced now and what the penalties have been?

I remember there was a site awhile ago that listed Ollama instances which were made open to the public and had the # of tokens/sec throughput beside each one.

i hear this so often, how often does an LLM hallicinate for you now? Like 2023 levels? In your daily AI use, do you see gibberish, made-up facts, things that just don't make sense?
You mean "work experience" and "doing it the old non-AI way" will have significant value to the employer and anyone aged 40 and older will be in incredible demand and offered high wages?
You should see what passes for what knowledge and skills a kid needs to graduate these days. It's sad.

Re:“AI Skills” are worthless in 2026 on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @08:09PM (#50267696)
Will we get to a place where Superpowers or other process systems aren't needed. No need for specialized harnesses and then we simply write short caveman goals and the AI goes "On it! I know exactly how this has been done in the past but I'm going to go into ULTRA mode and brainstorm something that has never been done before and is the bees knees!"

I'd say the majority of people don't know what a Reverse Prompt is, and its literally one of the most valuable things I have yet to see really go mainstream.

Instead of forcing your ideas or brainstormed concepts onto the AI and make it pick, you ask reverse questions which won't include any of your bias such as starting out with:

"If I were to build the best homelab for a coder, what key things should I be aware of and do?" or "What are some key questions to ask you if I want to best solve this problem <then state problem>"

for the non-Anti-AI crowd, my agents like BrowserOS and I use it all the time

You should try Chatterbox
Re:It's still OK to enjoy programming on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @01:58AM (#50161905)
the challenge is how do you do something once you've seen a shortcut work?

For example, if I liked building sandcastles and it took hours to carve everything. Then someone comes along and offers me a tool that enables me to dream of a sandcastle in my head and then it appeared... It would be hard to not use that tool the next time I wanted to build a sandcastle.

I think Karpathy's assessment of 5,000 people in the world with insider AI knowledge goes directly to what is coming and what the majority are not aware of.

https://www.businessinsider.com/andrej-karpathy-ai-gap-widen...

great point, I never thought of that angle
It would be unreal if it could somehow be linked in with Hermes Agent. I run Hermes with the Hermes WebUI frontend and I speak to my agents now but through that UI so I always have to keep the Hermes WebUI focused, if I could just activate and send voice commands while doing other things that would be the dream.
Re:Why aren't AI companies being charged for hacking? on Monday October 12, 2026 @06:51PM (#50064180)
The CTO of Palantir was on Face the Nation on CBS yesterday morning, I heard him say something to this effect: if a car blows up on its own, we hold the car company liable. If someone buys the same car and then attaches a rocket launcher to the top of it and kills someone, then the car owner is held accountable.

At the end of the interview he said Palantir wasn't part of the AI White House agreement but they did attend.

(edit: replaced he with car owner)

>The problem is: most of items that I buy on the internet (e.g. on Amazon) are simply not easily available in a shop in my town (and I am not living in a small town).

Because it is not cheap or available if its not made in China.

I liked this quote specifically: "So what’s the fate of human thought? My take is that cognitive work will diminish. Thought will increasingly become a leisure pursuit, as hunting did following animal domestication, calligraphy after typography, woodworking after industrialisation, and horse riding after motorisation. Machines transformed much of physical activity from necessity into choice; similarly, AI will decouple human thinking from its economic purpose."

Re:GLM-Legal: Advancing Agentic Legal Intelligence on Monday October 12, 2026 @05:21PM (#50063229)
Makes sense and money will still be valuable and can be used to lobby/influence the AI judges just like how people judges are now too
Re:GLM-Legal: Advancing Agentic Legal Intelligence on Monday October 12, 2026 @04:43PM (#50062789)
In the future, I think AI lawyers will be arguing with AI lawyers for the most part.

Like how people use AI to write their resume and then the HR department uses AI to screen the resumes, the 2 AI's duke it out.

I agree, the world scenario I stated is the same as the world of recruiting and getting a job now where the worker's AI battles against the HR department AI.

I sleep best after a long days work which is intellectually challenging, not pressing Enter/Approve with Claude for the entire shift.

If we look to a future where getting in the "credits" is important. Maybe in the future an AI will just credit other AI work. They will make it in a super small font so it's barely legible. Some AI can program and print the official standard. "All inspired/stolen work must be publicly documented in this fashion".

Many people will sleep better at night knowing their own AI work was recognized by another's AI.

is the software your company produces unaffected by AI completely?

Couldn't see this in the article, does it support API calls for one-shot conversation type responses like ElevenLabs offers?

$0.50 per hour pricing could last a long time with back and forth conversation use.
