Nope

No updates for paying users of Ubuntu Pro either
Being long degeneracy ( https://oldcoinbad.com/p/long-degeneracy ) really seems to be the correct market position. Turns out laws really are optional, if you're brazen enough.

No way to fact check this, but reminds me of the rude american as a service- position https://www.reddit.com/r/tumblr/comments/arcj6w/the_loud_ame...
Re:TCP Use-After-Free: CVE-2026-98432 / CVSS 9.8 on Saturday October 31, 2026 @08:10PM (#50321523)
How does your internet work, if the firewall doesn't accept incoming packets?
Re:TCP Use-After-Free: CVE-2026-98432 / CVSS 9.8 on Saturday October 31, 2026 @07:33PM (#50321295)
The good news is, if you emergency patched your Debian for php2shell, you probably got the new kernel on the same apt run. This time the embargo actually held, and the new kernel was out before the CVE came public
Your linked devices get unlinked in 30 days, and lose history older than 45 days

Yes. I would rather have a robot fetch my groceries than an gig-economy worker. Would you really prefer a human sit in traffic with your burger, wasting their unique time on this earth and making a pittance?
But at least we get jobs!
90% of road space is given the cars. Where was the vote to put cars on the roads?
Having humans do automateable jobs just to keep them employed is perhaps the worst waste of human potential. Why not replace backhoes with shovels - or spoons! I think we should strive to free our greatest resource, ourselves, to focus on avenues a robot cannot do
Because lost messages are safe. If the user data is gone, it can’t be stolen!
Signal hates all users. Go away for a standard 4-week EU summer holiday? We deleted all your data and burned your account.

It’s security!

I love that this is the most reliable way to actually contact an actual human working at Microsoft

Because there are only so many paranoid nerds around, and way more people who love the hype

Re:Binance-hacker-1029 – $5.6B stolen from Binance on Friday October 30, 2026 @08:31AM (#50303023)
Money is meaningless nowadays. One billion dollars used to be absolutely huge, now it's a seed round into a team with two MIT dropoffs and one mac mini
Re:Binance-hacker-1029 – $5.6B stolen from Binance on Friday October 30, 2026 @08:16AM (#50302889)
How are Proton and Binance related here?
App Store reviews are no longer human, they’re LLM

Did you mean "mandatory arbitration"? Suing is such a 20th century action.
Re:We're releasing the weights of Mistral Large 4 on Thursday October 29, 2026 @11:03AM (#50290259)
Nobody cares about that number, because refusals don't lead to company-ending news headlines.

Mods must be on cloud 9. Finally, serenity
I'm in the same boat. Had to switch to GLM because Claude refuses all native work nowadays.

"Hi Claude, there's clearly a memory leap in our software. It clearly balloons over time. Here's a few heap dumps from various points in the day"

"Unfortunately memory safety issues and OOM errors are clearly restricted cyber work, contact your nearest screaming void if you want to appeal this decision"

Re:Danish Government silently drops plan to dump MS Office on Saturday October 24, 2026 @04:04PM (#50224610)
It's usually clear to all parties that the tendering process is theatre, and they've already picked the company that'll get the contract
Re:Danish Government silently drops plan to dump MS Office on Saturday October 24, 2026 @04:01PM (#50224587)
It's been over 20 years since I saw the first announcements that the German government is moving to Linux + OpenOffice.

Any day now.

Re:Jailbreaking the Switch 2 on Thursday October 22, 2026 @12:54PM (#50197989)
For me it's the opposite. "Take a look at this WER dump and combine with these pdb files, try to figure out where the software crashes"

"Sorry, I can't help with exploit weaponization Dave"

Re:Where Wealth Is Moving in America (2023) on Thursday October 22, 2026 @12:48PM (#50197884)
Personally I'd much rather live in the places where wealth is created, instead of the resorts where wealthy people retire to enjoy a life of leisure
Re:GitLab CVSS 10.0 Integer Overflow issue on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @04:57PM (#50187524)
It's more like: you work as an animal spotter, and if you tell people you saw a hamster, you'll get no glory. So obviously you spotted a direwolf at least 12 feet tall.
