I played some TA in my time and recently stumbled upon replays on youtube. There is some way to play the single-player experience online already though a bit shady on the copyright it seems.

The original game got a lot of things right, I saw videos of Beyond All Reason and while I didn't play it it didn't quite _feel_ like it would give the same feedback while playing.

I was considering doing exactly that in my spare time, so thank you nanolathe I'll definitely check it out.

I run https://klar.im/ on slightly more but the VPS is $5–10/month for a total bill under $20.

I wrote about it a couple days ago actually https://klar.im/blog/launch-a-startup-for-15-euros-a-month

I was wondering what “with AI” means and the page doesn’t really answer that thought the README does. It drafts replies.

Also it is made by pivotd ? What is it ? What is the end game ?

Genuinely curious as I am in the mail space with klar.im

I learned recently that there is controversy around Proton and (surprisingly to me) far-right. Previous HN discussion https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48446899

Working on an AI anti-spam filter for Apple Mail on Mac

So I have been training the model to classify messages (ham/spam/marketing). And getting my first real user feedback which is incredibly useful and I am grateful for these!

I am preparing the paid version which learns from your emails on your mac.

This is a bit of a departure for me as I used to do predominantly backend work, moving into ML with the constraint of running on a customer machine and learning about the app store rules of engagement but this is fun.

Nice I love the Fringe. I don't suppose there is an easy way to track the street performers though which for me is the fun part.

I _just_ published https://klar.im/ a local-first AI spam filter for Apple Mail on mac.

It is build using a model that can classify messages (ham/spam/marketing), packaged for Apple Mail but could be used in other places.

I am working on an email spam filter - fully local so could run on the client. Would it be interesting to you?

Nice! I did something similar for myself but fully offline. It started because I had to do a tax return and collecting information was a pain point.
I was going to ask what is a pen plotter. Apparently this is like a printer but it uses a real pen to draw. Neat.

Same. I wish Webview would work with GraalVM native compilation.
