Its not as if it even helps since the numbers can be leaked and stolen and then abused & the situation ends up even worse since it is so centralised.
Re:Stripe closed my account with a 0.18% dispute rate on Friday July 24, 2026 @10:53PM (#49044066)
Do you have the link. In the past people have said this on HN and its common, personalised, etc. Then you look at it and the issue is clear.

If it is uncontroversial Stripe will probably likely your account, otherwise you're out of luck you wont get much sympathy here.

Re:Stripe closed my account with a 0.18% dispute rate on Friday July 24, 2026 @09:15PM (#49043572)
What is your business. Probably it is dodgy
Re:Ask HN: Any OSS models as good as GPT-4o-mini? on Friday June 26, 2026 @07:32PM (#48693388)
Isnt Deepseek Pro 4 cheaper? Also far above 4o
Re:Why isn't xAI as impactful compared to others? on Saturday June 20, 2026 @08:02PM (#48614323)
I wouldn't say thats the reason they're poor. Thats the reason xAI is behind. Everyone is at varying degrees to the frontier especially with Sota. The grok model is decent
Re:Why isn't xAI as impactful compared to others? on Friday June 19, 2026 @09:49PM (#48605511)
Because no one wants Elons opinions in their vibe coded app. And also that the data isnt used against ZDR or other reasons on cutting corners as XAi is more desperate than other labs.

Whether its true or not its the perception, so people avoid the model.

They've also not figured out networking Fabric yet so the models are poor

This is the basic Maastricht treaty. You cannot make EU law in France without France creating it not as EU law, but as French law. A SE or EU-INC would have to exist within this construct.

The only exception to a legal entity are the EU entities themselves which are supranational.

This is what most people don't understand with the EU, that there is a very specific process to create law and limitations on what it can do. It isn't like the US and the EU isn't a country. I may appreciate you might be European but even within Europe the detail with it is where it matters.

Looking at it on vibes is not intelligent either.

The design of the EU is based on a foundation where other than the EU institutions themselves the founding legal entity must sit within a member state. EU law that is one each country must replicate, there is no such way to have EU wide law without each and every member state replicating it entirely. An entity that is supranational cannot exist outside this construct & is a red line of the design of the EU itself.

This is one of the reasons the EU cannot easily raise debt for itself without going through a sponsoring member state.

This is very different. In a SE these are incorporated and sponsored by the member state. It is like each country making an equivalent copy of the same thing.

The EU-INC is EU designated without a sponsor, which is not permissible under EU law other than for the EU institutions themselves. This is one of the red lines for the design of the EU legally speaking

Can't work legally speaking. There has to be a single sponsoring member state. Just sadly how the EU is designed.

The only way would be to copy it individually so it is the same in each member state which breaks the purpose of it.

The issue is to try and focus on making a good cloud that startups etc would like to use. That should be the goal. If the goal is not being strategically dependent then it'll never work.
Re:Ask HN: My AI app builder has users, not buyers – why? on Tuesday January 06, 2026 @02:39AM (#46509690)
Ask your customers
> most normal people don't know what Claude or Gemini are

That's actually changed a while ago.

Can't AI do this for free anyway?
Probably thats the goal, so there is a way to charge a fee. Do you not know Ryanair
Re:You can't cURL a Border on Tuesday November 04, 2025 @05:31AM (#45809426)
This is actually standard for other countries too
Re:Claude Code refused to add rainbows and unicorns to my app on Tuesday November 04, 2025 @01:39AM (#45808028)
It depends from which vantage point you look at it. The person directing the company, let's imagine it was Bill Gates instructing that the code should be bug free, but its very opinionated about what a bug is at Microsoft.
Can it even be used that way with only fp4 power?
Well, you usually get it to be verified so never in production systems
Re:Claude Code refused to add rainbows and unicorns to my app on Monday November 03, 2025 @07:49PM (#45806349)
I think this is what binary programmers/hole punching said about programming languages
Rewind was quite good

Re:What is "good taste" in software engineering? on Monday September 29, 2025 @04:17AM (#45411444)
This is exactly what bad taste is. Not one mention of if the software is actually 'good' to use for the end user.
Re:ChatGPT Pulse on Thursday September 25, 2025 @10:31PM (#45381956)
Will OpenAI leave anything for developers to build and the broader ecosystem? Its like they want to own everything
Re:Cloudflare Email Service: private beta on Thursday September 25, 2025 @11:20AM (#45373796)
And then they'll offer to 'protect' you from AI scrapers for a fee and then bulk negotiate against Google, etc for another fee.
Re:Ask HN: Why do developers respect SaaS so much? on Saturday September 20, 2025 @11:11PM (#45319696)
What was the SaaS idea was it interesting or do you feel that it was SaaS that was interesting over the idea itself.

Quite often developers don't care about the monetisation method with a product as much as the product itself. It's hard to see why a headshot app/tool or a learning platform is useful to developers.

Maybe something about the B2B SaaS product was difficult to make compared to a headshot or video/learning tool

I want it to be indexed by everyone, thats the whole point.

So what then Cloudflare can use all these websites as leverage against Google, OpenAI and Microsoft? I kind of want my content to be indexed.

So Cloudflare becomes the gatekeeper then?

I kind of want my site to be indexed with agents and used without any interference

Re:Ask HN: What would convince you to take AI seriously? on Saturday July 19, 2025 @08:08PM (#44620670)
Do you take it seriously? Why are you asking
