This is hardly what I call a recommendation.
The point was to give the American people some hope that we are on the right track to finding something that helps.
Most people aren't disciplined enough to get all of their work done without the possibility of a manager/boss/coworker overseeing their work habits.
On top of that, many people forced to work from home just don't have the space to work without getting distracted.
I feel like productivity will plummet during this time and companies will use that as an excuse to prohibit remote working in the future.
It effectively makes it so there is really no point in providing online learning resources/lessons, because it will all need to be repeated/made up when the students get back.
If we had known the virus was this contagious at that time, more countries could have prepared and put a stop to travel from some of these areas.
It happened way too late with Italy, which is why the cases skyrocketed.
I've seen reports that patient zero in Wuhan was back on November 16th. I know many people that had symptoms (including myself) at the end of November/early December.
I lived in Taiwan in 2012 and all airline passengers had to go through a temperature check. This was the only country doing this at the time.
I also think it was pretty horrible to prevent shipments of non-essential items from 3rd-party sellers (we can still purchase these items now, but sellers can no longer ship these items to amazon FBA warehouses).
Many of these sellers will now have to layoff their own staff, because they will be unable to make payroll/ship out products.
I was really sick for about 2 weeks, which included a mild fever for a couple of days.
I remember thinking that I can't remember being this sick in a long time and I wonder now if I had the Covid-19 infection.
