They do explain all the details how the got the tokens stolen.
In the US, CA the name is not validated. My company is credit card issuer and authorizer, and we don't do any validation a part from CVC. Maybe some countries/iisuers do the name validation, but is not not common at all.
Re:Mixpanel Security Breach on Thursday November 27, 2025 @12:52PM (#46071603)
> Has Mixpanel been removed from OpenAI products?

    Yes.
No. Credit card transactions cannot check for name or billing a part from the zip code. Also the zip code validation only works in certain countries like the US, and Canada.

The way to validate that works is Visa 3DS or MasterCard 3D Secure. Those sent an OTP from the issuer to the cardholder on the issuer database, usually an email or SMS. The issuer of the card is the only who really knows the owner of the card.

I think the comment wasn't about production speed, but speed of the product in terms of performance
How do you feel, competing with Phoenix.new ( Chris) ?
Re:Open Banking and Payments Competition on Thursday August 14, 2025 @12:36AM (#44896768)
That's why Im really bullish on Column, a tech company with banking license
You're absolutely right, I'm guessing the GMV of rappi should appear on the graph. My guess is about 3-5B.
I think lots of issues with the integration of CC or other TUI with graphical IDEs will be solved with stuff like the Agentic Coding Protocol that the guys at Zed at working on https://www.npmjs.com/package/@zed-industries/agentic-coding...
Re:Phoenix.new – The Remote AI Runtime for Phoenix on Thursday June 26, 2025 @01:15AM (#44384366)
Hi Christ, is there any way to get more credits or BYO api key for anthoripic/openai? Im trying to make Kahoot clone and already spend more that 40 in a couple hours.
I got to know n8n from HN comments a couple year ago. I tried it and kinda liked it, it was really a tool for making quick PoC, trying remote APIs and building operations.

I was able to hack a MVP of a new product in just one or two days.

Now, the company uses n8n for a lot of stuff, out ops team and finance team is expected to automatize manual work using n8n. From billing to financial conciliation to customer support. Also in product/dev team we implement some parts as flows, for things we expect to change a lot of features that are more internal.

But n8n requires a lot of time and care. It's not intended for high loads, they make a lot of breaking changes (more like new bugs, but is not fun).

We do all this self hosting in a k8s cluster.

In general I like it, but I think is still intended for a personal o early adopter.

Funny, one of my biz co-founder, learned and created a new biz just teaching it.

I'm guessing the impact on this from the GLP drugs. I remember a post last week about the impact on the economy of the growing usage of this appetite suppression drugs.
Re:Blender-made movie Flow takes Oscar on Sunday March 02, 2025 @09:52PM (#43237795)
This is the first movie I took my 3 yo kids to watch in a theater. My wife and I are FOSS enthusiasts.
This appears to be a good opportunity for an AI health appeal tool.
This looks exactly like something my finance team asked me for yesterday. Definitely will take a look. In my startup (a fintech) we tried to keep all the information about money in the DB, and have the finance team use that to compare with actual bank information
Re:Disappointed with the TVs at CES 2025 on Thursday January 09, 2025 @11:36PM (#42652515)
The same happened to me last year, on a company trip people voted to not go to a bioluminescent swimming, but when I confronted them everyone was really wanting to go. We ended up going (I can be a bit pushy), and everybody loved that experience.

Re:Talent Search versus Talent Development (2019) [pdf] on Sunday July 07, 2024 @07:27PM (#40901329)
Exactly the same happened, and I would add that those guys "soft"/social skills were more developed that the senior devs, so the non-technical people of the company tough they were really good.
