Oh ok that makes more sense. Yes the standard mileage deduction of 54c/ mile and other deductions makes Uber profitable if done in a right market with an old car. Few years back my deduction made it seem like I was in loss and didn't have to pay any taxes.

I am not sure about Canada but in US you are supposed to deduct expenses for Insurance, parking, licensing, registration as a percent of miles driven for business. So 20k miles driven total with 10k for Uber and 10k for personal means only half of your car expenses is deductible for Uber income.

I don't know what those are. I have been working as a packer mostly and our place has a minimum of 200 items per hour.

I recently started working as a associate full-time at a large warehouse in US. I have a college degree and have worked as a junior Front End Developer in the past but my work permit expires next year so I stopped looking for a "real" job. I can answer any questions you guys might have as I don't thing there are any warehouse associates to answer directly in this thread.

Amazon Flex has been around and growing. It's Uber but the drivers have packages instead of people. It will not be difficult for them launch Uber like services.

It is absurd that, as a bootcamp grad, I am trying to get a potential opportunity from you in a thread that vilifies bootcamps but I wanted to give it a try anyway.
