Maybe you can play using an emulator. I use VMware to emulate Windows XP to play The Sims and it works great.
Agricultural areas? After bribing people to abandon the agricultural sector for decades, now Europe wants to become an autarky?
It all boils down to whatever adjectives you can use or not. You can say some politician is a racist in the first paragraphs of their Wikipedia article, but you can’t say some politician filled a country with immigrants from the third world. That implies a bias, because one thing is seen by the editors as damning enough to warrant a mention whilst the other isn’t, despite both things being considered somewhat equally bad by different sides of the political aisle.

(I know the answers to this comment will be “oh but it’s not the same…”. Spare me. You missed the point of my comment.)

I’m not saying immoral things can’t be banned. I’m saying that to ban something we must be able to construct an argument that does not hinge on morality. For example, theft is bad because it deprives you of your possessions. No need to invoke morality.

And yes, you can construct an argument to ban polymarket that does not rely on morality too. But don’t try to sell it to me with a “we will ban it because it’s eeeeevil”.

That’s as if, in a conversation about the necessity of owning a car to buy groceries, you asked whether being able to afford a car means owning a Toyota or a Maserati.
It’s icky to see someone make a moral argument to have something banned, and even worse if they want the government to be the arbiter of morality.

Did we really kill God to have some bloodsuckers in suits tell us what’s right and what’s wrong?

They could make not having kids more expensive than having them and I still wouldn’t have them.

Most people I know with kids can’t afford them and still have them. And most people I know with money don’t have them. In a way it seems wealth is inversely correlated to having kids. It’s not about money, it’s about having interesting stuff to do with your life, and having the education to know what a terrible economic decision it is to have kids.

> What happens when it no longer becomes profitable for anyone to share knowledge online?

That we will go back to the time when posting stuff on the internet was done out of passion and not because of economic interests. I can’t wait.

Sanding down is how we got goyslop turned into slop.
It’s funny that “maxxing” entered the common vocabulary.

I mean people who only eat stuff like nuggets and fries. That kind of thing. You’ll never see them eat a legume stew or roasted vegetables.
What they’ll do is embed ads in the text, which will also be unblockable. I imagine the future will entail running an LLM to remove the ads that another LLM generated :P
I must be the only person in this website who is happy with the AI Overview feature. It messes up sometimes (very rarely) but so do websites. And between ads, cookie popups, newsletter popups, notification permission popups, websites with a high Time to First Byte, and all the useless filler around the content, websites are a nightmare to browse.

I would say that for almost all of my searches the AI Overview feature contains exactly the answer I was looking for, and I don’t even have to leave Google to get it. It’s been a very positive addition.

Ocean Rise: ~3.2 mm/yr

Land Sinking: + ~8.0 mm/yr

I wonder why CNN have decided to highlight oceans rising and not mention land sinking anywhere in the entire article? Is it possible they have an agenda?

My 13900K was affected by the widespread voltage issue and had to be replaced, but since then I have had zero problems with it.

Hexane, acid, caustic soda, bleach, and deodorisers have no or rare culinary use.

Obviously. But you also need the time to cook and not to have the appetite of a 10 year old. The latter, from what I've observed, is quite common in grown adults.
That depends on what you make. Thankfully fines for crimes are not based around a percentage of your income.
A disease affecting developed countries impacts the entire world. A disease affecting the Congo doesn’t impact anything.

The best part is how, as per the comment, they are bringing this to the first world.
I was expecting a better argument than calling me a misogynist and bragging about living next to the beach, but hey what do I know.
It actually is that. Once again I ask you that you read the articles which quite clearly say what I said.

As you said, despite being flagrantly unconstitutional since men and women are supposed to be equal, the constitutional court said it’s okay to have different prison terms for men and women for the same exact offences.

I’m talking about the LIVG which sets different prison terms for men and women for the same crimes.

Check articles 153, 171, and 172 of the Spanish Penal Code.

In Spain we have a domestic abuse law that is unconstitutional (different prison terms for men and women) and it has been there for a very long time.

What do you think are your chances of winning this in the constitutional court?

All local sellers do is buy the stuff from China and stick a huge markup on it. That’s what they did in the past before the days of AliExpress. It benefits the wealthy, in spite of the poor, like everything these days. It’s not something to be celebrated.

Good thing the EU is a democracy and we can repeal this bs! Because we can, right? Right, guys?
This can only be solved with another flotilla.
I didn’t say any of those three things.
