[read in Steve Jobs voice]: "You are putting it down wrong"
If you put the screen size on the table, the device does not wobble ;P
before you vote down, this is not a serious response
already an issue here for me. I travel between south america and europe all the time. one day I have siri AI, the other day I have not.
there's still so many things to invent before this moves out of fiction...
radiation, cooling, communication, costs ...
Nobody wonders why the hell a coffee machine needs to DOWNLOAD 10GB as well?
I know, the upload looks bad and all, but why does nobody talks about this?
storage and memory has simply gone up over 100% in the last year. nothing Amazon specific here
cars WERE expanding. the reason for this were the road-tax cuts for EVs. Now that this is over, people start thinking again and we see a big shift towards sedans and cars like that.
> with the ongoing push towards gigantic SUVs
this is not a global thing.
> Rolex for example is a foundation
This is not true. rolex is a for-profit organization.
The owner is a foundation, but they did not make rolex a non-profit.
> a huge amount of cables can be replaced by usb-c cables + an adapter.
And now you have a bunch of boxes with adapters ;P
worse when you pay 100k+ for a watch you can only use to ... read the time (the patek watches that were mentioned earlier for example)
you are allowed to criticize apple as much as you like.
The response was on your 'really? 800 for a watch' remark.
watches that go for 100k or more are not uncommon
And then you find out the main character is simply doing what the NPC's tell her/him to do.
The idea that the main character chooses what they want is an illusion. They are just following the script that is steered by what the NPC's make them do.
I'm not talking about life, I'm talking about video games here.
Not the OP, nor the quote from Ronin state that one should always sit
I heard about it couple of days ago.
Since I'm running 'stock' FreeBSD, I cannot comment on what it's like, sorry.
could ask claude to do that ;P
TVs will stream some. Exactly because the network cards are horrible without buffers etc.
But yeah, remuxes (uncompressed copies of UHD) are pretty common and people that want the best quality use them.
Also, kaleidescape highest quality options are as big or bigger than UHD rips.
> especially if given a few seconds of buffer.
This is the biggest problem with those cheap network interfaces in tvs. They dont have any form of usable buffer, so a spike instantly creates problems.
using an usb network dongle (or if your setup is good enough wifi, but this is very unstable)
Also, most tv's are not able to push the full 100Mbps over their network interface.
oh, I agree it cannot be assumed. neither can the opposite be assumed.
illegal is very subjective. It all depends where and when you are.
did you tell it explicitly to not break into a bank?
If the best option to achieve the goal is to break into a bank, and there's no 'do not break into a bank' instruction, it will break into a bank (and I would expect it to even)
> AND the user did not intend to have the model act in an illegal matter.
I find this an assumption that is not based on any facts.
The user did not provide instructions to follow nor to break laws, so if you look at it from a computer (that does not make assumptions) standpoint, there is no rule to follow there thus it can do what will create the best possible outcome for the task.
I think that consumers will try to avoid the pain, and use vpns and fake addresses to get around the tariffs etc.
The whole problem is that the EU is not providing an environment where software vendors can go as fast as the vendors in the US.
This is not just a matter of regulations. It's the whole mindset that is too conservative to go fast.
The whole 'throw 1000 things at the wall and see what sticks' is not something we europeans are used to.
> and protect / stimulate domestic alternatives.
I really would love to see this, but the sad truth is that there are no real alternatives for a very big amount of software products.
In the end, the eu residents will simply have to pay more for a lot of software products, and that's it :(
as far as I can see, the author is not copy/pasting the AI output as answer to a question.
there is a site like the OP one for this: nohello(dot)net
so, have AI in front of the 'submit' button in the bug tracker and done!
I was discussing this with my wife 10 minutes before I saw this comment.
watch / time / clock looks and works so much better on a round interface.
notifications / text / buttons look and work so much better on a square interface.
So, use a watch on one wrist (round, good looking, etc), and a smartwatch on the other wrist (square, functional, 'computer')
There's no way you can mold the two together into one 'have it all' form factor
While I understand that you feel good as you got the device configured, you would have been better off without gemini.
The 'old' way as you call it would have resulted in you knowing the backgrounds and the inner workings of your router, making maintaining it a breeze and helps you actually understand your setup.
Besides that, it would probably trigger you to rethink some of the things you now blindly have implemented because gemini did not show alternatives nor reasoning behind it. (something that most definitely would have been documented on the source pages)
