Is ZFS well supported?
Re:Bastard on Sunday November 01, 2026 @11:28AM (#50327111)
We need kinder politics, that's for sure.
Re:Bastard on Sunday November 01, 2026 @05:40AM (#50324344)
It's time the world got together and dealt with the billionaires for once and all.

Banning them from politics would be a good start.

Trickle down economics does not work. Tax the super rich.

Very hobbit like, I like it.
Re:SS United States to be sunk as largest artificial reef on Wednesday October 28, 2026 @08:23AM (#50272474)
Not the ship, it's more the thought that Trump is captaining a sinking ship of State.

Rename it USS Trump for the lulz.

Time for a Linus Torvalds middle finger.
Re:How Japanese Dried Bonito Is Made on Sunday October 25, 2026 @04:45PM (#50235890)
Meatballs are ubiquitous, every culture has their version. My theory it was invented when we walked out of Africa 60,000 years ago and it went to all the ends of the world. Or maybe we stole it from those who were there before us ...
This undue influence of US policies on South American countries is most disturbing as right wing policies increase inequalities.

It has to end. Millions of lives are at sake.

How did they hit upon this method? Was it an accidental discovery hundreds of years ago or was ot carefully arrived at through thinking how to make this kind of food?
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @11:37AM (#50222303)
Thanks, will do.

LLMs up and running but runs very slowly with Nvidia 16GB GPU and 32 cores on my laptop.

Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @11:35AM (#50222281)
This. So much this.
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @06:55AM (#50220064)
I'm testing GLM 4.7 Flash at the moment as that seems to work on my hardware.
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @06:54AM (#50220057)
I'll give Qwen 3.8 27B a try. Some older LLMs that works on my hardware aren't much good.
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @04:04AM (#50219168)
Are there any free models as good as the commercial ones we can run on our own hardware?
Re:Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed on Saturday October 24, 2026 @04:03AM (#50219159)
We could learn a lot from China. They know how to keep their own home grown billionaires on a leash. We in the West can't even do that.
Re:Unit Tests are not the enemy on Friday October 23, 2026 @04:52PM (#50215167)
Having written literally hundreds of unit tests in C++ and Python, my preference is to write them myself. You're in charge, not the LLMs.
That, too.

Mankind needs to learn before it's too late.

For goodness sakes don't puncture the crust. We'd be back to the Hadean era.
Re:eMudhra to Exit Global SSL/TLS Certificate Business; on Thursday October 22, 2026 @10:07AM (#50195528)
Oh dear, never mind.
Just what is wrong with green jellies?!
But hey, no expensive lawsuits.
UK's Health and Safety probably would shudder quite a bit at this and say verboten.
Bouldery McBoulderface.
Whoosh.
Oh good for British Airways. "Nonce Goggles" are incredibly unpopular in the UK. The only good one is one that's smashed into tiny bits.
Yup that was the pun I made.
Who paid the bill?
