Re:Claude Code Routines on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @06:45AM (#47777245)
Don't use claude -p in any kind of harness at all. I used it ONCE in a local custom made one, and got my account nuked. No help from them at all. Appealed, and the appeal was denied. I had been a Max subscriber since day 1 and Claude subscriber since day 1 in 2023. They don't care.
For what it's worth. I invoked claude -p from a script, and my account was nuked immediately. DM'd Thariq from Anthropic who admitted it was a weird classifier and would look into it, but then he never followed up. Been 13 days since I've been banned now.

Very sad considering I got my whole company on Claude Code for them to just ban be like this, with no customer support response.

Cool, but why not just use Docker? 2-4GB extra ram overhead and some initial learning curve, add a decent Makefile and.. never worry about local env ever again. Switch back and forth between Mac, Windows, Linux like it's nothing.

Fascinating that he wanted an expert C developer with a PHD who'd build stuff in one third of the time it takes others.

You need to login each time if you use Safari in private browsing mode.
At least the weather is good in SF and.. you make 3-6x more money.
Re:Microsoft Opens New HQ in Toronto on Tuesday May 17, 2022 @10:27AM (#31411206)
That's easy, make it so that unlimited amounts of parents can come if the child is a citizen, but they'll have to buy their own insurance.
Re:Microsoft Opens New HQ in Toronto on Tuesday May 17, 2022 @10:25AM (#31411177)
Canada only allows like 10-20k parental PRs each year, and 100s of thousands of people apply for it each year (and increasing).

Not really any good. Compare that to the US where your parents get a GC no questions asked if you're a citizen.

Is India an enemy?
Should've made a browser extension for Chrome/Firefox.

Without that, how can this ever come to the browser?

My default for watching any video is 2.0x. Up to 3.0x/3.5x.
Re:Backblaze S-1 IPO on Tuesday October 19, 2021 @06:38AM (#28916688)
I tried Backblaze's backup plan.

Their software is just not good, I would say it's even bad. It just didn't work for me.

Something poorly written that they just didn't bother to improve. I guess because most of their customers can't tell the difference anyway whether it's working or not.

Re:Masked email from Fastmail and 1Password on Wednesday September 29, 2021 @07:53AM (#28692501)
1. Not sure how this is a problem.

2. Again, not a problem. Everyone should be using a pass manager.

3. If you use the same domain/email for your banks (or any other financial/important service) as you do for social media/gaming/whatever, then that's on you. It's basic security practice to separate the important things so basic hacks like the one you mention are useless.

4. The purpose of this is basic privacy and security, not to be truly hidden.

I think the email confirmation with the payment is enough for tax purposes?

Always ordering take away can get very expensive, very fast. And very unhealthy unless, again, you're willing to spend good money.

Cooking yourself is way cheaper.

Sure, if money is not a problem, have someone else cook so you spend more time on improving the product/relaxing.

Firefox is amazing.
YT should work on preventing targeted dislikes rather than taking away the likes counter - which is so, so useful.
YouTube transferred all the Trump's WH subs to Biden's WH - while Trump's WH had started with zero.

Very stupid idea and apparently requested by the Biden admin. Now you have millions of Trump subs just disliking every video.

And now calls himself VP of Integrity.

Amazing..

Jesus christ... and they got the courage to call themselves VP of Integrity.

Yeah. Funny this is they have a good UX but terrible copywriting. No info at all on what they do unless you dig deep.
I should go and backup my photos asap then...
Works fine for me with select all. Maybe it was a temporary thing.
Re:The new Dropbox on Thursday June 13, 2019 @10:05AM (#20174957)
If you're on Mac, smart sync is available, it's native.
The videos were all removed..

Anyone got a new link?

Re:The Next Ten Billion Years on Thursday July 19, 2018 @08:38PM (#17571567)
That's actually interesting.. species that we are not laughing at might take over the world and even surpass our own achievements and years of existence in the far future.
Re:Timeline of the far future on Thursday July 19, 2018 @11:16AM (#17567086)
That's actually a cool idea..
More on this?
Holy.. didn't knew about that. WTF
Re:Ask HN: How do you find freelance work? on Friday March 23, 2018 @10:31AM (#16658529)
I thought about doing these many times when I needed money, didn't follow up with it though, exactly because I'm too shy.

I'm gonna have to do it soon though, again, because of money.

Would love to hear more about your experiences.
