I could take a guess...

Right but Bard is literally available in 230 countries and territories...but not Canada.

We are being singled out because of the Government's Online News Act for tech companies to pay for news links

China is going to be the exception to this me thinks..
What about panic? Could you disable the amygdala real time?
Slightly suspicious. Them wanting to get a message out there that criminals won't get away with far exceeds probability of them retrieving crypto imo.
Cost of building a tower is much more than something like rowhouses, multiplexes. Cities like Toronto and Vancouver bypass the "missing middle". So it's mostly single family homes with various "tower node districts".
Texas is also a good example of that density only matters if there is a land scarcity problem.

There are areas in Canada where building massive towers has been premature and also led to increase in costs.

I'm not sure Google knows either. "Smarty city" just smacks of vague buzzwordy-ness idealism. What is it exactly? Are you just going build some condos and stick some wifi around? How is that really different than any other modern city?
Re:Canada's forests emit more carbon than they absorb on Wednesday February 13, 2019 @12:10PM (#19154592)
You'd think large forest fires would have an impact though in terms of the regrowth.
Re:Rising CO2 won't make trees grow more, study suggests on Monday February 04, 2019 @02:08PM (#19079557)
What is the right amount of CO2 to have in the atmosphere scientifically speaking?
90% of the issues when it comes to tech and my parents is dealing with accounts(aka setting up accounts and keeping track of usernames and passwords).

Re:AMD Responds to Intel's 9th Gen Benchmarks on Tuesday October 23, 2018 @09:39AM (#18283259)
Most modern games are developed/optimized for Xbox One and PS4 which have low-ipc 8-core cpu's...

AMD benefits from having their chips in the consoles...which now have an install base of around 120M+ units...

That's still what $7500-$10K per Telsa though isn't it?

I think the iPhone XS is only marginally larger than the 7/8 and has a much larger display.
Re:LinkedIn sucks on Wednesday September 12, 2018 @09:36AM (#17968539)
In what way? I find Indeed pretty good and simple to use for doing job searches..
It hasn't been updated in 4 years. Any update will be spec'd enough.
I just wanted an updated mac mini...not a "pro" model. Whenever Apple attaches the word 'pro' on a product it usually means "a fuck ton more expensive".
>I suppose one could reserve them for races and train with cheaper shoes.

That's what I would do. You'd have a slight boost on top of the usual race day boost and $250 to get ~4 marathons/8 half marathons isn't bad. I mean that would probably be 4+ years for a lot of non-serious runners.

Same with radio in cars. It just works.
Open office is "anti-focus" imo. It's crazy how it even became a thing.

Cubicles use up the same amount of space and at least you have some privacy.

I'm pretty sure I heard Reed Hastings say it was one of his advisers that had to convince him that producing original content was the way to go.

Re:The Legend of Nintendo on Sunday June 24, 2018 @02:59PM (#17387836)
Sony is the most guilty of this imo. Even Microsoft's 1st party games are more "gamey" than Sony.
Re:Facebook critic: Company ‘will not survive long term’ on Wednesday March 28, 2018 @11:50AM (#16698680)
I mean you can say this with any company really..
Is it? We already have people living in very cold conditions and very hot conditions today...we have insulated housing/air conditioning/clothing...what's going to big the difference 30 years from now?

A lot of alarmism if you ask me.

Bitcoin is a store of value. Someone has yet to create to create an effective medium of exchange out of a crypto-currency.

after using youtube many times to help with car problems I could see this being helpful....or any instructional video in when you are working on something away from a computer..
