musicians do not want AI in what they believe is the product of human mind and soul but will not have so many problems with whatever they're not skilled at, or find tedious and boring.
Just like us, but with graphics or landing pages ;)
I'm just so tired of the narrative.
It didn't really bother me during the altcoin/nft scam era, other than from time to time trying to explain at a normie that they were mostly scams, you know the concept that if you want to sell an asset for X you have to find somebody willing to buy.
But at least you could simply ignore all the mentally ill megalomaniacs that were like duude this is the future
This time instead it's so pervasive that you can simply not excape the narrative and simply concentrate on the good stuff about the technology. It's the narrative, the pressure, the whole global situation, not AI in general
> I highly doubt these incidents were faked in order to advance regulatory capture
yeah? the incidents were faked in order to create hype
well i have a couple of laptops at work that are dedicated to programming/test software.
A touch screen would be actually better than a laptop, but android tablet won't cut it (we make some of the test hardware so are in control of the drivers, but for most of it we don't)
so apple switches to oled. gasp. my lenovo is suddently on par with macs? apple switches to touchscreen for macs, double gasp. mostly a gimmick.
yes :) we can have different opinions
the 2012 was a really solid generation (the 2010 as well. i still have both, not running osx anymore of course)
Disagree. I like my S3425DW (and my oled laptop) much more than whatever my colleague's macs
one of the points is that LLMs are NOT deterministic so you can't run them yourself a thousand times and expect the same output.
why would i even care, if what's currently provided is better than good enough, and can be extended in post training / augmented with search?
I wish they'd go back to text and images for the teardowns.
no, i never cared for that series, sorry
please point me to an LLM that can write like that without extensive handholding
have you ever played first party titles on the switch?
the level of polish and stability on the open world zeldas is astonishing, i never experienced anything like that in third party AA/AAA games form the last 15 years or so, playing on the switch or on the pc.
written at the top: current 23.01 version (i did get the sw2 on first day because you never know but...)
everybody cloned stuff before. You keep your clients because you offer more than the lowest available price: the human touch (support, design, quality, problem solving)
LLMs only appear to do that, if they do it effectively is because you can.
you know we already had firefox back then? anyone with half a brain only used IE for the institutional website with ActiveX that wouldn't work otherwise
who exactly owns a fairphone?
Now, if we had support for say, a pixel, that would probably change things. Incidentally, there seems to be initial support for the tensor G5 (pixel 10 onwards)
will be free when everyone owns the means to make it, instead you're going to rent the compute to make the software to escape the rent
and not only in ireland.
It is so depressing to wake up, go to work in the dark and go home in the dark.
> find stuff
yeah, that too.
But these MUST have a local option first and foremost, this is something that any local model can do, even the smallest ones.
But even before that there would need to be a set of APIs from the DE, imho. I think that GNOME is going into this direction with their AI center, i whish KDE would start looking into that too
you know, i'd like to interact with a model directly in thunderbird so i can reply to LLM bullshit with LLM bullshit more more quickly
What is the problem?

southern europe, small villages.
we take care of our own. It's very much part of our core values.
