Germany isn't an international embarrassment at the moment.
Re:How can you not be romantic about programming? (2020) on Saturday February 20, 2021 @08:59PM (#26210136)
I don't understand why you'd put the effort in when you can write it off as a job and pursue your "romances" in your personal life. I'd guess the return in satisfaction is greater unless you're already in love with your job in some way.
Re:OpenBSD boots multi-user on Apple M1 hardware on Saturday February 20, 2021 @08:56PM (#26210113)
In the sense that single user mode is used as a failure mode for the boot process, it indicates that the system was successfully able to bootstrap from the EFI to its own (critical) drivers successfully.
My advice: lobby for stronger personal stimulus from congress. It's hardly a mystery why this is happening.

How do you know it's a "true" memory? Does that even matter to you? I don't think it would to me! But, I'm curious how confident you are about whether you're in the same space or your brain is rapidly manufacturing the sensation.

The US doesn't even have modern healthcare. There's no point of developing new vaccines if we're using the market—you know for sure it's going to go to fewer people than it should. For-profit medical research is fundamentally a death cult.
