I removed the ToS overlay with ublock and frankly you're not missing much, very sparse data, mostly just green everywhere.

I've always been put off by the continuing financial obligations personally. Like I'll invest a considerable amount for one time things easily, but year after year with constantly increasing costs? No fuckin way.

It would be less expensive if every 20 years some idiots wouldn't blow one of them up and render a sizable swath of land uninhabitable by doing something regarded. The cost is in making sure they don't and unfortunately it's probably here to stay.
Picard's jacket, at El Adrel.
The aliens that want things that make them go! That's their official name isn't it?

Grass grows, birds fly, sun shines, and Intel fumbles trends. I'm sure they might cancel the ARC division next for fun and go develop optical chips or something, who knows.
Re:StackOverflow now gets fewer than 1000 questions a month on Thursday October 29, 2026 @12:09PM (#50291340)
Hmm yes, how can we turn what remains of the burning pile of SO into a predatory polymarket knock off. This has to be the most disgustingly capitalistic take on anything I've heard this month.
Re:StackOverflow now gets fewer than 1000 questions a month on Thursday October 29, 2026 @12:04PM (#50291257)
All Stack Exchange sites had the same user hostility problem, though SO was by far the worst at it.

Becase it bombed as a product in a comically bad way? They immediately rebranded.

Anyone still remember Bard? Google would probably desperately want us to forget lmao.

Become an alt right grifter and get paid by billionaires' bots to help destroy democracy.
Re:Overgrown, when plants invade your abandoned tabs on Monday October 26, 2026 @03:47AM (#50240442)
Tabs Georg who has 12k tabs open is an outlier and should not have been counted.
Re:We should be more ambitious with the software we build on Sunday October 25, 2026 @06:49PM (#50236830)
The call is coming from inside the bubble!
Well the solution is pretty simple: geo block US owned social media and wait a two days for people to move to the best EU alternative. One you remove the foreign subsidized option with complete market share capture, there will be options that can finally compete.

Both the US and the EU are already doing this exact thing with cars, basically.

Re:Voxtral 3 on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @05:59PM (#50173272)
Ah the standard procedure then.
Re:Someone behind the software on Monday October 19, 2026 @01:27AM (#50148695)
If right brains could talk they'd be very upset :P
Nah, that would never work.
Re:Tesla Roadster on Saturday October 17, 2026 @03:35AM (#50128832)
Ah indeed, a new and unheard of piece of cutting edge engineering that is at the same time a completely useless and extravagant waste of resources? My analogy was more on point than I thought :)

Both made by nazis too.

Re:Tesla Roadster on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:19PM (#50125523)
I thought it was the animal abuse that was the main attraction? /s
Re:Tesla Roadster on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:18PM (#50125516)
That's some clean powered cars I tell ya hwat
Re:Tesla Roadster on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:08PM (#50125401)
Well unfortunately he's made it necessary to do so. I can like this demo in the same way I can like the V2 rocket as a pioneering achievement in rocketry. There's a very big elephant in the room.
Re:Tesla Roadster on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:03PM (#50125352)
A circus showing these would never recoup the cost of even one being built, hah. But it is very cool. It's also neat to see the Brabham BT46 make a return after like 50 years.
I though this was about The Swedish Job, but apparently this is a completely new Renoir theft? Did they not learn anything from the first one?

Including CC0 works as parts of works licensed in other ways is perfectly fine iirc? It's like WTFPL after all.

Uh we had a slight hype cycle malfunction, but uh everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine, we're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
Re:Why do LLM pelicans look like this? on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @01:05PM (#50091009)
They say the pelican isn't benchmaxxed, but at this point how can it possibly not be?
Re:Gemini 4 Argon on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @12:49PM (#50074751)
Sounds like it might not have your precise location in context?
