This looks amazing! How will the blockchain transaction register be... supported? I assume we don't want people "mining for trust" that they haven't earned from others, so what's the incentive to verify / process these... "trustactions"? :D
Re:Ask HN: How do I leave a startup on philosophical grounds?

I would at least give them an honest, non-emotional resignation letter, so they know what the cause is, and whatever notice you want to make it. Considering they're not paying you, 2 weeks is probably not fair, but at least a day or two, whatever you think is fair. And then leave.
This may be beyond the scope of "business," but I agree with the don't burn bridges comments. It is your responsibility to get yourself out of a bad situation as soon as you can, but as long as you have the power to do it gracefully, and with respect, that's the right thing to do - or rather, it will bring you good karma ;)

Well, obviously if you have a kindle, it's not a problem - but not everyone has a kindle :) So I'm just wondering if there would be a way to buy the paper outside of signing up for a 1 year contract and getting a free kindle. I mean, if they want to sell me a paper for $1.75 and throw in a free Kindle ... sounds good to me, but in that case the profitability of this plan comes into question ;)
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for someone trying the idea - it sounds like a pretty awesome, and environmentally friendly way to go for the future of newspapers. Just playing the devil's advocate.
On the other hand, I've come to despise 1- and 2-year contracts, thanks to cell-phone service providers ;)

Crazy!! Would a newspaper that does this have to totally abandon paper distribution? As in: there would be no way for a person to go buy the Sunday issue of XYZ daily, if they happen to be vacationing in XYZ?

This gist is literally the most helpful thing I have ever read in under 5 minutes :D Especially with all mistakes included and averted. Thank you! :)

I've never lived outside of the midwest, so I don't know enough about how Minnesota compares, but do I love living here. I plan on leaving to help make Seeing Interactive successful, which I'm not torn up about, but I hope to move back before too long. I say if there's anyone successful out there who loves MN, move your started up start-ups (aka companies) to MN and make it work. You too can be an angel some day :) The midwest is long overdue for a tech mecca.
