Xircon was a windows IRC client that used TCL for scripting.
I figured that was the case. That makes the most sense for your original use-case. I ordered one last night, are you seeing a large uptick of orders from this post?
Does it start replacing the oldest photos?

Volumetric energy density. Either you'd fill up more often or dedicate more vehicle space to energy storage.

Diesel: 10,722.2 W hours / Liter

Gasoline: 9,500.0 W hours / Liter

CNG (3600 psi): 2,500.0 W hours / Liter

You are correct, I should have kept reading. R&D also has salaries included
Re:Are We Watching the Internet Die? on Monday March 11, 2024 @02:02PM (#39671411)
> Cost of Revenue

> Cost of revenue consists primarily of payments to third parties for the cost of hosting and supporting our mobile applications and website. In addition, cost of revenue includes expenses directly associated with the delivery of our advertising and other services, including advertising measurement services and credit card and other transaction processing fees. Cost of revenue also consists of personnel-related costs, including salaries, benefits, and stock-based compensation.

That was only $111,011,000.

Edit:

This is incorrect, R&D does include R&D salaries.

Seems they spent $438,346,000 on research and development.

Re:Testing Microsoft's Windows Dev Kit 2023 on Thursday November 03, 2022 @07:28PM (#33459414)
Thanks for the information! My Motu (M2) does live on a linux machine and it's been relatively painless, worked on MacOs as well, but required a driver download on Windows. I never dug into why. Audio interfaces tend to be finicky things on their own, I also have an Arturia Audio Fuse Studio that needs to be "rebooted" from time to time, no matter what OS its connected to.
Re:Testing Microsoft's Windows Dev Kit 2023 on Thursday November 03, 2022 @06:41PM (#33458948)
Does windows not provide a generic "class compliant" audio driver? I'm amazed it works so well everywhere else if Microsoft doesn't support it.

Pretty good, I use Shure IEMs to block wind noise on motorcycle rides and having access to podcasts/audiobooks are a nice bonus when slogging down freeways. I can still hear car engines and sirens, but it removes the wind buffeting in my helmet that really drains you (and damages your hearing) on a long ride.

Re:Mechanical Watch on Wednesday May 04, 2022 @07:27PM (#31267192)
One of my isolation projects was to put together a watch using an ETA 2824-2 movement from EBay. You might want to consider buying the parts you want individually. Match a case to a movement or it's clone. Find a dial that matches the movement complications and the case diameter. Find hands that match the movement and the case diameter. Most of the work is in the identification of parts, putting the watch together is really just like slapping a small sandwich together (minus putting the second hand on, that... is a test of dexterity, perseverance and commitment, the shaft you have to set it on is ~0.25mm).

Often a seller will be a small time watch maker and their components will all fit together, a good way to save on shipping.

Result: it's become my favorite watch, I wear it every day.

Next project was to use a bunch of cheap clone parts and a 3d printed dial, still working on that one :)

100% agree. They didn't, and will continue not to in the future.

Jokes on the internet are great when people are in on them. Positioning yourself as someone that has inside information when it's false falls closer to "it was just a prank bro". The author should be able to say whatever they want, though the ability doesn't make the action not shitty.
Re:A stupid joke resulting in a silly news cycle on Sunday April 10, 2022 @02:25PM (#30980069)
It's self congratulatory not defensive. If I claim that I am not chiding you, but then write an entire blog post on how I was able to pull one over on you, one of those should speak louder than the other.

There were lessons to learn here for all the parties involved. The author seems to have chosen to ignore theirs while wanting to pat themselves on the back for fooling news sites. The news sites learned nothing, they got what they wanted out of the deal. Reddit.. Reddit cannot learn, too many people involved.
Slow, short battery life, buggy. You don't want this for your daily driver.

Now, it is a fun toy to play with. PostmarketOS with SXMO is an interesting experiment and I love the idea of a pocketable linux computer with a modem. It could potentially even be a phone if people stop trying to treat it like a feature phone and accept that you are running on limited hardware and software needs to be written as such.

Think you are doing platformio a disservice here. It has a VSCode plugin available but there is also a standalone set of commandline tools that are editor/IDE agnostic.
Esp32 has its own framework/runtime but you can flash it using arduino framework. Have you checked out the platformio cli?
Re:Best CPUs for Workstations on Tuesday May 05, 2020 @01:08PM (#23082267)
Few months back I put together Ryzen 3950x with an ASUS X570-ACE motherboard. Has been completely painless running Fedora. With a Gen3 Ryzen and a mainstream linux distro you probably can't go wrong.

ISO is bound to the front wheel under your pointer finger, press it in to select ISO mode. Have the back wheel on mine bound to shutter speed (top dial set to 'T') and the top function button to switch between the electronic and mechanical shutter. White balance is the only thing that seems a bit out of reach.
