Re:Serbia just elected the world's brainiest parliament on Saturday October 31, 2026 @05:24PM (#50320387)
The issue is, former president was not just a Russian, but also EU, USA, and a Chinese vasal.

With him gone, it's time to say fuck you to them all and regain sovereignty.

Given the number and the might of oppressors, Serbia will definitely need those brains.

Re:We're releasing the weights of Mistral Large 4 on Friday October 30, 2026 @08:44AM (#50303125)
> At this point, are you using Deepseek flash 4.1 or is somebody else paying for your model usage unconstrained or are you a moron?

Do you really need to insult someone over an innocent internet comment?

I would suggest to you to search for professional help for your issues and restrain from using the internet until you feel better.

Re:We're releasing the weights of Mistral Large 4 on Thursday October 29, 2026 @10:38AM (#50289836)
Why does everyone avoid publishing the most important part of the pricing while doing a comparison?

My coding sessions have a >97% input cache rate. DeepSeek got us spoiled. I am not going to use any AI provider with exorbitant or hidden cache rates.

A secret model I trained last afternoon is the actual #1 on benchmarks.

No, you can't use it. You can't even see it, and I won't provide you any information. But you must trust me that I am the genius who made the best model in the whole world.

> The 1.5°C goal of the Paris Agreement is no longer viable

Good. Now, let's drop that goal and go on.

At least in Europe, higher priority should be saving human lives by providing air conditioning and a climate-friendly environment instead of putting more money into climate money washing machines.

I agree with you, but you also missed the fact that Anthropic is also distilling other models. They would be a bunch of idiots if they didn't do so. Especially chinese open weight models are easy to self host and distill, without having to tell anyone.
This is actually good news for the Europeans and the Chinese. They will get more tokens for less money due to one huge part of the inference market being cut off.
That's exactly how it works.

Anthropic says that if a model says they are an Anthropic model, that's it, it's distilled from Anthropic. They even use that as a "proof" DeepSeek is distilling their models.

Or do you want to say the Anthropic PR department is a bunch of liars and scammers?

That's effectively banning all open source, since at this point it's hard to find an open source project that doesn't have at least a few lines of code produced using it :)
Re:MiniMax M3.1 Flash on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @04:57AM (#50163183)
That's what I like about DeepSeek. Whatever benchmark scores show, it always felt much better in actual usage compared to benchmaxxed models.

They genuinely try to improve usability, without spending time on marketing or benchmaxxing.

Except for v4 0731, which was a regression, and probably the reason they released v4.1 ahead of schedule.

It is, but people like to bash Java ;)

For an average European, why is it better than routing requests to the USA?
Re:How the Claude Code team does code review on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:33PM (#50125664)
I don't care how they do it.

I vibe coded my harness that is superior to CC in functionality, and it still doesn't flicker.

I don't need to hear their bullshit.

Then Bulgaria is a legitimate target. As any other country "supporting <a_war_party> with weapons and material in this war."
Re:Why Sweden is abandoning its cashless society on Thursday October 15, 2026 @04:45AM (#50100967)
I tried searching for what exactly he is accused of, and all I can see is he supports the extradition of illegal migrants to their home countries according to the existing law, but the "elites" and "the ones in power" decided to ignore.

I didn't find any direct reference to him supporting anything like athletic cleansing.

Re:Why Sweden is abandoning its cashless society on Thursday October 15, 2026 @04:39AM (#50100929)
> though I do hope that your principled opposition to state debanking also extends to muslims).

Of course. With the restriction that Muslims in non-Muslim countries are not entitled to Islamic banking if no bank provides it, as well as non-Muslims in Muslim countries are not entitled to non-Islamic banking.

Back to Sellner. If he is a far-right terrorist, arrest him for God's sake. Don't leave it to banks to emulate justice in their own internal processes.

They should rather seize the property of a company trying to make a country involved in war and endangering its population by operating military actions from that country soil.
Bulgaria is not a war party, Starlink is. Whatever taxes they pay, it doesn't cover special military protection or war involvement, just regular protection from theft, trespass and similar, like any other company not involved in war.
Why would Balkan tax payers pay to secure foreign corporation? Especially if that corporation is involved in a war they don't care which makes it a legitimate military target.

I didn't expect Godwin so fast.

> Perhaps he should be trialed and properly convicted for his advocacy. If the laws are not in place for it, I am fine with debanking this asshole.

Wouldn't it be better to update the laws than let the corporation do self-justice by punishing "assholes" who didn't do anything illegal?

If corporations like banks are allowed to do self-justice, why not individuals? And what is an appropriate punishment for someone who is an asshole, but didn't do anything illegal? Debanking? Fine. Removing from social media? Fine. Not allowing to rent a place to live? Fine? Beating? Not fine. A little beating, just an "appropriate" amount of beating? Maybe also fine?

I'd rather have a state properly process and handle these cases than big corps or some "society".

Re:Why Sweden is abandoning its cashless society on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @06:27AM (#50085309)
That's the whole point, which you obviously didn't understand.

It's unfortunate that many people, including you, would support authoritarian methods and reducing of human rights like free speech, privacy, etc, as long as that is framed against "bad" people, and not "good".

Of course, that same totalitarian regime may tomorrow decide you are "bad", or at least not "good enough".

I'm not arguing about Sellner, I picked him because I knew it would provoke this kind of response.

But if he did something illegal, state should arrest him, bring him to court, and put him in jail. Legally and fine, that's why we pay taxes.

But since he is not convinced, and not jailed, harassing him because some people don't like him is pure tyranny. Approved by the people who think they are better than North Korea.

Re:Why Sweden is abandoning its cashless society on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @04:40AM (#50084340)
It is happening in the EU right now. Martin Sellner has denied or closed by 109 banks for his opinion that Europe should stay European.

Prophecy: some people here may argue that's a good thing, and we should differentiate between a good and bad debanking.

Edit: as expected, if you want to push for more autocracy and control, you need to find the right bogeyman. And suddenly, people claiming they are liberal and pro freedom will start supporting authoritarian policies, but "just in some cases", whether those people are terrorists, "far rights" or paedophiles.

Yes, they prefer ZScaler which can read and modify anything on any website and network resource, even when running on localhost.

Would they get a raise if they are more efficient? Or go home earlier? Well, you have your answer here :)

Re:Mozilla Introduces Firefox Enterprise on Tuesday October 13, 2026 @09:57AM (#50071856)
I'd rather not have Firefox installed, than Firefox preloaded with MitM certificates, disabled uBlock Origin, Proxy Switcher, added Adobe, Copilot, and a few more "useful" extensions and security add-ons that can't be disabled, and so on.

If company IT gets hold of Firefox, it's not better than just using Edge or Chrome that comes by default.

Re:GLM-Legal: Advancing Agentic Legal Intelligence on Monday October 12, 2026 @01:23PM (#50059691)
If he is on a corporate device, he has a corporate-issued MITM certificate, which allow third party "security" companies to read, store and analyze his complete network traffic in plain text.

If you are not self-hosting on your hardware inside your network, why do you care whether the model is open or not?
You know that enticing someone to commit suicide is a crime in most of the jurisdictions?

Vietnam and Iraq beg to disagree.

Or the millions of deaths caused by American actions there don't count, since they were not killed by Russia?
