I "vibe code" but to me, it's a random thought and test to see what I can produce quickly. It doesn't have to be AI assisted/generated either. Maybe more ADHD, ooh, Ball! Or epiphanies where I have to try something out right away.
Could be trash or could be gold.
Doesn't support my AMD Athlon 3000G w/ 64GB RAM =P -- nor my real consumer GPUs (older than 4 years)
(And yes, I do run AI on my athlon... it is slow but works.)
You'd create macros or templates. In C# & VB.NET you can alias your imports for simpler/smaller code below.
Imports Word = Microsoft.Word ' VB
using Word = Microsoft.Word // C#
Imports you only do once so that wouldn't be a huge pain... Though, SOLID/DRY would be a pain with many more imports.
I tell it the architecture I want. No SOLID, No DRY. Use KISS & YAGNI. BUT -- it should be based on your preferences.
Ask it questions before to get a feel for what is available.
Then on the 4th to 7th attempt, it looks pretty good.
Now, I want to know what the person does for work. =D
i ask the ai and use it - even though the code can be complete in a few minutes i spend alot of time reviewing and tweaking the output... surprising me, the timelines provided have been pretty close.
I like [x]copy deployments personally, then you have 1 command =)
Social Outcast here... It's pretty good.
Does this mean that a spouses Facebook page is illegal if they are cute?
Personally, I've been using Click-Once with a daily auto-update.
In the past, we didn't use auto-updates and manually updated those. Now days we are mostly web apps.
There is one app that we deploy through MECM. It's not our app, but it's used on enough PCs that MECM manages the deployment of it.
Do you mean windows updates? We use MECM so we can test windows updates effectively. This way Windows won't auto-update while your testing other things.
We blocked AT&T Mobile once... You get lots of complaints that way and we only blocked them for an hour.
We have some bots that use residential IP blocks (including TMobile, AT&T, Verizon, etc)... When they hit, it's 1 request per IP, but they use 1000 IPs easily. Then we don't see that IP again for a week or more.
My issue is that they are oversold to fix everything when, so far, it seems like fancy reporting and searching. Once you have an answer, then you go and fact check the answers with even more searches or plug in the provided code and find the API is wrong or it just doesn't compile.
Of course, I also do things that aren't the normal/common, so the learning isn't there.
Simple things, like basic CRUD operations work well but my apps aren't basic. =P
So, record your screen with your phone. =D
i use a piece of tin foil - tiny peanut butter cup wrappy - stays in place lovely
I use 'SELECT message, from, sentdate FROM offline_chat WHERE userid = <usersid?> AND acknowledged = 0'.....
Or something similar. I would bet it's all about indexing. It could be in a separate DB just for offline messages. When they come online, they would be moved to a ViewedDB or something. Could be just a really large table. =)
more people use it for production than you think. I have 20+ ActiveX controls being used in production using IEMode in Edge =D
i still use reiserfs - i can store more tiny files than the others. I was disappointed when testing Btrfs as it used more space and became corrupted easier, even when using compression.
i like php and classic asp - good for scripting small pages (not so much for apps)
i dont get TS.
This would be a great thing to hack to get free internets. =D
The page appears in dark mode (I use light mode)
OS: Windows 11 22H2 / Browser: Opera, FireFox, Edge
Screen: 1366x720 (32in TV)
If I move it to 1440x900 27in monitor, it doesn't do it.
wow... the links on this page are blurry until you select them?
(The note info pain in the middle has 2 links and are blurry on my screen.)
Similar problem here. My resolution is 1440x900 (27in Monitor) paired w/ 1280x720 (32in TV) and I keep 3 Browsers Open (Edge, Opera, FireFox - each has intent). Each are at 3/4 width and 1/2 height and offset so I can see each partially.
With this setup, many sites work, but a few... a few have a top ad banner, a side banner and a footer of 'cookie acceptance'... then add in a 'subscribe to our email' and a google login prompt.... (Game Wiki's.. I game in smaller windows too -- what good is a multi tasking computer if you don't use it?)
Excel/Word Macro using a WebBrowser object in a Form (old IE did this nicely; Haven't done that since Edge came out.)
I like OpenSource and opensource personally. =P
i use it personally, but found reiserfs works better for me on spinning disks - both space and speed. ( lots of small files ) - btrfs, even with compression uses more space
for normal workloads, ext4 is fine for me
We are lose reproductive fertility on earth too.
The big companies have these issues too. MS started allowing lots a SPAM in a few months ago. Took a couple of weeks for them to fix it.
Self-Host or Email as a Service both have their intermittent issues.
