This love of some french artist in Houston felt odd when I last rewatched this, about ten years ago. Loved the enthusiasm and openness shown in this video.
The second most plausible explanation kinda aligns with the reality in the first part, at least:
a crazy person staged this and then escaped (and maybe killed him/herself.)
.. either way, why is this interesting? (is it even ethical to make something like prominent?)

It was something else, at least back then. (I do remember thinking it would be really hard to play without having someone understanding at least basic japanese around.)
The programming screen is shown briefly here:

I found this video from this web page, where there's more text and images: (Chrome with Google Translate works okayish.)
You are right, we are not helping at all with proving your unsubstantiated claim.
(I still reckon my mom needs a new phone though, there are other less severe exploits out there for this non-updated device.)
"Security updates guaranteed for: nn months"
or
"Security updates guaranteed until: YYYY/MM"
There should be a also scheme where companies who claim these things would have to deposit some calculated amount in some offical place.
(Btw, since so there's so much cheap crap being imported from china, I guess the most consumer-protecting approach would be to make both the reseller and producer responsible for the penalties resulting from a lack of security updates.)
I'm thinking Apple may be the way to go this time, because they maintain security updates for older devices for longer. (Seems like 5+ years.)
Another way of looking at this is that lacking security updates create unnecessary electronic/chemical pollution/waste. I think the EU should tackle this. I'm sure they could come up with some scheme for penalties for lacking security updates. (Does anyone know of any initiative in this area?)

(Looks slightly upscaled, but probably from a better source than in the posted article.)

"Franco Austin, former Technical Account Manager at Amazon Web Services:
'Whilst South Africa only have a single energy provider, no. So the answer would be probably not soon, unless AWS plan to build their own energy provider, the requirements for a DC for AWS is that it has got 2 independent electricity providers on different grids. Thus I doubt if South Africa will see an AWS data center and I love to be proven wrong, at this stage I believe the best we can hope for in South Africa is a pop or edge location.'"
For instance: The government of Sweden just announced suggested legislation for june 2018 that will severely punish any new registrations of non-electric vehicles (the tax penalty is linear to the co2-emissions/driven km above a certain treshold.) I think it goes sort of halfway towards Norway's current policy. (Which is rather extreme, and something they as a nation can afford, being a major oil exporter.)
In hindsight it seems obvious that they were less concentrated with actually getting a capable fighter anytime soon and a lot more concerned with, well, paying money to the US.
This has caused a rift between the two countries that is still lasting.
(Side-note: as a new HN user I really, really hate this throttling. I think I actually managed to submit this on the 9th try, waiting about ten minutes between each attempt. I kept seeing "You're submitting too fast. Please slow down. Thanks."
I really, really don't think is good for conversion stats.)
