Please post this. I'd love to play with it and, especially, see how fast it is.
Re:Ask HN: What's the best hackable smart TV? on Saturday October 11, 2025 @12:34AM (#45546585)
If you disable internet access for the device at the router level, the ads, the autostarting tv, etc all go away.

This comment is the first result when searching "inconsistent comma clause 29 magna carta" on Google. Can you link to a source?
Re:How I configure my Git identities on Monday November 25, 2024 @11:54AM (#42237809)
I prefer to split work and personal repos into ~/dev for work and ~/src for personal.

  # file ~/.gitconfig
  [includeIf "gitdir:~/src/"]
  path = /Users/metabeard/.config/git/.gitconfig-personal
  [includeIf "gitdir:~/dev/"]
  path = /Users/metabeard/.config/git/.gitconfig-work
and

  # file .config/git/.gitconfig-personal and .config/git/.gitconfig-work
  # both are very similar with different email and signingkey
  [user]
    name = Meta Beard
    email = [email protected]
    signingkey = ssh-rsa xxx==

  [gpg]
    format = ssh

  [gpg "ssh"]
    program = "/Applications/1Password.app/Contents/MacOS/op-ssh-sign"

  [commit]
    gpgsign = true
S3 is acting as a backup, not a data store. The SQLite file is local to the app. This recent post discusses the tradeoffs in more detail and includes metrics. https://fractaledmind.github.io/2024/10/16/sqlite-supercharg...

Re:Ask HN: Do you have home solar? on Monday July 15, 2024 @07:29PM (#40972389)
Can you setup a form to allow us to upload the docs? I had solar, panel, and roof done by SolarCity before it was purchased by Tesla.

Re:I analyzed SaaS billing dark patterns on Thursday November 18, 2021 @06:07PM (#29271764)
With additional controls/customizations in place I'd gladly pay to keep it ad-free and not have the data sold.
How about opt-out instead. A button to disable it on a domain. Its very non-intrusive otherwise but I'd still like the option to disable thing. (I also sent this suggestion as a note from the bottom of the extension)

Thanks for building Ampie!

Re:Why we have so many problems with our teeth on Thursday May 28, 2020 @06:05PM (#23343368)
Can you please explain how you're opposed to universal health care but 100% behind universal dental care? These seem at odds.
Re:Building a SaaS in Public: Bookmark App – Day 1(ish) on Saturday May 02, 2020 @06:23PM (#23055364)
I've previously had a Pocket subscription and switched to Bear Pro to track bookmarks but neither is perfect. I would be happy to offer feedback each week as you build out your app.

Re:Ask HN: Who is hiring? (November 2018) on Thursday November 01, 2018 @10:45PM (#18360319)
Thats awesome to hear. If possible can you share additional details about your successful remote policy? Our team is currently working on this as well. We have lots of ideas but it's always good to hear what has worked.
You can't even sign up for the Enterprise program if your Apple ID is associated with the Apple Developer Program. You'll get the following error when signing up:

> Your Apple ID is already associated with a Team Agent enrolled in this program

I created an account for the first time to ask the same question. Please share. This sounds wonderful. PS I also have only lived in LA and NYC.
