Since the McDonalds app was downloaded between 10 to 50 million times, its suddenly "the basic way 100 of millions order their food?”?
Where are the extra 50+ million users you claim coming from? Am I to believe McDonalds has a 100% retention rate after app installation?
Have you run into any rate limiting on iMessage? We usually see bulk messaging (eg: appointment reminders) getting silently dropped by carriers if over 100 messages are sent from that number in a day.
Additionally, what stops Apple from breaking your service, like so many other unofficial chat APIs?
Artisinal, drone replicated items you say?
Moreso like UPS or Fedex than Instacart, as the Amazon employees aren't picking up unpackaged, unlabeled its.
We've rebuilt our internal business processes using erxes.io, having one place for email, live chat, Twitter DMs, Facebook & more has been quite handy.
Still working on deeper integrations with our other systems, its API is GraphQL which I'm not super familiar with.
All of those providers share the same non-redundant transport provider out of Chelan County FYI. City of Tacoma also has a similar setup, but they moved too early and are stuck with a cable network.
Those same DSL techs often know exactly what needs to be done to save the telecom company they work for, deploy GPON.
Verizon broke new ground and did it in the early 2000s, and its the only reason they still have as many customers as they do. The assets they sold to Frontier were partially upgraded, and have taken a beating due to Frontier's internal incompetence and poor service. Reactivating service to an existing ONT should not take more than a few minutes, yet it takes 24+hrs with Frontier.
The cable companies are willing to do what is neccesary to get customers up and running, which is how they have hollowed out the incumbent telecom's business.
Sounds like we need to mandate vote by mail as an option for voting nationwide.
Offer a (very restricted) free tier, basically a preview mode.
InstaVPN, it mines your traffuc and gives you ICO tokens as a reward!
This kind of "free market" for electricity tends to drive up infrastructure costs needlessly (see Australia), while incentivizing bad behaviour by generation suppliers in the market (see Enron).
Public utilities generally provide a higher caliber of service at a lower price, with less administrative bloat.
If anything, P2P high bandwidth connections are often more reliable as your traffic likely stays on your ISPs network rather than needlessly hairpinning through a central server outside their network.
Hence why VoIP like WebRTC encourages direct media rather than wasting a trip to a server, the server's peering can often be much worse than a path between two users on residential ISPs.
Sounds like they did not make a modicum of effort to support any platform.
iTunes was multiplatform (Windows & OS X), if Apple wanted they could invest the resources to do so for Apple Music. Apparently it is not a priority tho
I would avoid binning people into builders or maintainers, there are many more issues that could prompt one to leave Tesla and Google, eg: Work environment or ethical issues.
Kroger (and their subsidiaries like QFC, Fred Meyer, Fry's Marketplace, etc), Walmart, Safeway (and Albertsons/Randalls) all use Suse with BTRFS for their point of sale systems.
Think of all the people who live closer to the urban core in Boston now, due to this decision not making long distance commuting easier.
Portland started ripping out freeways after I-205 destroyed multiple neighborhoods, and Seattlites organized to stop the central district freeway after watching I-5 vivisect the city, paving parks and neighborhoods.
Representation by industry has worked really poorly for Hong Kong, its a key part of why they have the majority of thr population protesting and demanding real democracy, not the corporate controlled legislature that currently presides over HK.
Great, sounds like TurboTax will still be able to compete if the IRS gives people tax filings precalculated, as TurboTax can say "We can save you $XXX!"
Appimage has solved the distribution on Linux problem, software packaged as Appimages are as easy to run as an exe on Windows, and no additional software is required (unlike Flatpak & Snap).
Private clubs include many authorized families and people, yet they are not public. Your definition of public space seems very off...
As someone who works with multiple carriers, I doubt anyone outside of the wireless carriers and Inteliquent will implement STIR/SHAKEN soon in the USA.
Inteliquent (aka Neutral Tandem, Onvoy, Exiant, Vitelity, plus 20 other sub-brands) is the only provider implementing this protocol outside the cellular industry, and most of the CLECs they work with are not capable of maintaining SIP with a TLS certificate, let alone their own PKI as STIR/SHAKEN would entail.
Lol, sometimes speakers do need handlers :P
SeaGL in Seattle does offer free childcare to all attendees, in addition to being free to attend.
Number availability in some area codes is pretty limited with jmp.chat as they use the same underlying carrier as Google Voice.
With concurrent access restrictions, this is not likely to get you far.
Matrix can bridge in IRC, Slack, Gitter and a few other protocols very nicely, it reminds me of Pidgin but with much better UX.
Amazon's shipping fleet is on par with FedEx or UPS, and yet smaller than USPS. Most consumer shipping is not done by Amazon
The lack of enforcement of net neutrality and its subsequent demise have enabled telecom companies to throttle streaming music & video while extorting smaller providers for internet peering.
The large players (Netflix in particular) have ongoing settlement free peering with Comcast, Verizon, etc that was mediated and enabled by the FCC's prior Net Neutrality policy, hence why they were silent about its demise. Peering and throttling have created a competitive moat that benefits Netflix, Google, Amazon, etc at the expense of every other player.
Carriers including Verizon still block unobfuscated VoIP: https://www.onsip.com/voip-news/onsip-news/in-depth-verizon-...
Google is already offering higher quality TTS:
https://cloud.google.com/text-to-speech/Additionally, if you poke around the web a bit there are many free TTS websites that produce higher quality audio than Mozilla TTS without requiring you sign up for anything.
