Banks can just ban you if they whisper the magic words "suspected money laundering". They are theoretically accountable to a process that takes 500 years and 3 quadrillion dollars to reach a resolution, then they will unban you. You might notice both you and the bank will be dead by that time.

IP is super decentralised. Digital communications could have led to a more decentralised society than ever before, and in the beginning , they end. But in the end, they didn't, because large actors figured out how to exploit them.

Databases don't send files to client sockets as fast as possible. They do computation and lots of random access.

You can buy example.it.com on many registrars. Someone bought it.com and operates it like a TLD.

Which is funny because the government can't legally ban you from the government. If you suffer any consequences from this, the government is at fault in every case. Of course, good luck proving it while you're in jail.

Most devices have a large number of operating systems. The camera also has one, and the storage has one if it's eMMC. The WiFi/BT chip has one. The AP has at least two, because of trustzone.
People bring up the baseband (ie. cell modem) having its own OS because someone gave a talk on it at defcon or something, but it's just one of many.

FAT32 allocates the first free block. IIRC, file order must match disk order because reasons. Ext2 prioritized allocating the middle of free space to allow fragment-free growth on both sides and it became a standard filesystem feature after that.
