Blood pressure measurements are a challenge - readings are a function of body postion / arm position.

Vegan Mac Cheese sauce is perhaps the simplistic thing to make - soak cashews overnight in fridge, drain water, add fresh water, blends, add nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, garlic, and a lemon. Heat and serve.

Yep - Walmart the largest buyer of milk now owns their own farms and uses milk as a loss leader. Dean Foods former CEO was an alleged crook. Their packaging and advertising looks like it came out of the 1970s. Here we are in the Keto / Intermittent fasting era - and they failed to provide a cream. These folks gave up long ago. Expect a nice bounce back.

The oldest millennial is now 38. This group - now the largest as a percentage - will see wage growth year over year for the next 15 years for three reasons 1) their skills improve year after year 2) employers will have a harder time replacing them - and will pay them not to leave 3) productivity is about to accelerate after a decade of flat productivity.

Re:Should lawyers learn to code? Arguments for and against
on Wednesday August 07, 2019 @01:11PM (#20636704)
Tax law is a lot like coding, the answers are there if you know where to look. Generally, look to regulations for definitions, publications for working examples, and case law for ambiguities and ombudsman/case for unanswered questions.
In your case, the exercise date is the date of issue

You are conflating the right to carry out a business with the right to free speech. There are many reasons for licensing a business - sufficient liability insurance - self dealing etc.
Re:Ask HN: Who is seeking a cofounder?

You are spot on with this concept. I’ve spoke to a few people in the midsize markets and yes this will work. Think marketplace - content sellers and content buyers (newsrooms). Seed the market by making it categorical, based on the size and shape of the regions.

In Los Angeles, Motorized vehicles are not permitted on sidewalks and paths. As a rider, you are liable for all personal injuries that result from your riding. Without insurance, you are putting your financial life in jeopardy. Think about it!

You’ve given up a lot of future income - a lot. Do a FV calculation on 150-200k a year in your 20s (working 10 years and compounding 30) over 40 years. Work the next 10 years and then go back to being an entrepreneur.

There are many many options to assure yourself of Job security. If that is important to you, working for a highly leveraged company with a ceo who has a history of acting impulsively should be avoided.

Something strange about your comments? You worked there for a year, not 30 years. How much of a a conversation with 225 people in a year’s time could you have possibly had? How much could you have possibly accomplished? If you did as well as you claimed, I seriously doubt you would have been let go.

I agree with your sentiments, but there is a contribution that the CS departments made that the statistics, math, Econ (as in econometrics departments) seemed to have overlooked. I remember going to each of these departments in 2002 and asking them why don’t we split the data sets to train and update the coefficients and automate the process. The answer was always the same “that’s trivial and adds nothing to the field”.
