Re:Verification Is Not Knowledge: Science needs more than answers
on Wednesday November 04, 2026 @04:30AM (#50363172)
I would rephrase it as: "Verification is not human knowledge", but that doesn't really matter. We are going to be several steps behind AI as it reaches a level of intelligence far beyond human capabilities, and we are not going to be able to catch up with it. It's like trying to beat AI at chess: we are bound to be left behind as AI continues to expand its knowledge in mathematics, physics, computer science, and other fields. Eventually, no human being will be able to reach that level of knowledge within their lifetime.

It would be great if llmarena leadership information would also appear to compare performance vs cost.

Re:Show HN: Testing HN titles against a neural network

From the github page example:
"Bill Gates ate my tuna sandwich" Bad:0.9273 Good:0.0632
My try: "deep neural network ate my tuna sandich" Bad: 0.0000 - Good: 1.0000
Perfect score!!!!

One of the most unknown tools (>10 years) http://sikulix.com/
It allows play mouse/keyboard event scrips BUT it allows to find components (coords) via screen OCR so you can make your scripts multi resolution/desktop independent. Also, it's Java based so you can play it multi SO.

Tango was technically discontinue but in fact it was replaced by ARCore, so "discontinued" seems inaccurate for me...

Congrats! Great idea and clean implementation.
As a suggestion, same way you override default icon based on regexp, it would be useful if it could override also page title; i.e using facebook, web whatsapp in the office without (visually) being noticed :)
Moreover, you could add a preset of "useful" page overrides ;)

Congrats to ZeroCell dev, good work! it looks simple and perfectly usable with well formed files, but how it deals with the day-by-day office files (not so well structured, lot of edge cases and so)? Maybe an entry for these cases would be necesary in the documentation.

Hi, great and ambitious project! If you want to consider I, as Java developer, use to test my apps with selenide (selenide.org) a wrapper for selenium which makes UT a lot easier to code.
Re:Why are free proxies free? (2013)
on Sunday January 04, 2015 @07:53AM (#8834268)
Of course, a untrusted proxy can do a mitm attack, getting access to all of your data. Even a trusted one! There are some famous cases as nokia https://gaurangkp.wordpress.com/2013/01/09/nokia-https-mitm/ or opera mini http://manurevah.com/blah/en/blog/Opera-Mini-MITM-attack
They say it is just for caching purposes (if the html data is encrypted they cannot serve cached images and so), but who knows what they do with your data as credit cards, etc.
