Re:Why programmers don’t write documentation

This is a terrible solution. Writing is part of the developers job requirements. And writing doesn't just happen in documentation. It happens in emails, technical specs, presentations, code comments. Developers should maybe just get better at their job because documenting and writing is part of it.

A majority of credit card fees goes to the issuing bank. Like a huge percentage of it. Visa and credit card processors take a much smaller percentage relative to the banks.

Miami has had a nice cultural revolution in the last 10 years or so. A lot more art and culture than before and tons of things to do besides partying on South Beach. Many areas of Miami feel more like SF in LA than Trump country.

The only thing I really got out of this long article was the importance of having a customized organizational and workflow system that suits your lifestyle. For me there's two books / methodologies that has made a huge impact in how I think about and organize my work. The first is David Allen's getting things done system. It is extremely generic but comprehensive and suitable for pretty much any kind of knowledge worker. The second is using a personal kanban board for organizing all of my work and personal tasks. Highly recommend the book Personal Kanban.
with a sufficient organizational assistant in place I don't feel the need to be productive all the time. I know that when I sit down my work is already planned ahead so I can immediately start being productive. I also review and plan my work ahead a little bit which saves a lot of time and makes contact switching less costly.

Yep. I found Amazon pretty useless these days and rarely use it. I buy household essentials from Target their service and delivery is good and I have an option of in-store pickup within a day or delivery within a couple of days. At least they have a stable set of brands that they sell it's not the highest quality but it's good enough for most things. The things I care about quality I will buy directly from the seller.

Yes Java is uqititous and it's not going away for 30 years at least. See Cobol. Java also has had significant improvements in the language so that there is less incentive to use other JVM languages like kotlin and it's fully interoperable with heartland code bases as far as I know

Your argument is a strawman. Car and phone or bad examples to prove your point because car reliability improved because of factors unrelated to the internet, and phone reliability improved because a better reliability of satellites and computer networks. Better examples are things like watches or desktop applications which seem to work fine before they were connected to the internet.
