I have a truly marvellous comment on this, which this comment box is too small to contain.

Sometimes nature is beautiful and sometimes it isn't.
Nice job, this looks great!

What's your next project going to be? Maybe we could work together!

Re:Claude for Excel on Wednesday October 29, 2025 @09:04AM (#45746324)
I tried https://sanand0.github.io/llmexcel/#/ yesterday but it's very slow.

Not sure if this Claud for Excel can do the same thing and run =claude() inside Excel cells?

Re:I tried every todo app and ended up with a .txt file on Tuesday August 12, 2025 @11:15AM (#44877330)
I use Todoist and I like it for repeating tasks:

  * A list of daily tasks small and quick too many to remember
  * Tasks to do or check every three or four days ie about twice a week
  * Tasks to do about once a week eg hoovering.
  * Tasks to do every three months like wash house windows etc
Most days I put my todo list into ChatGPT and get it to put my todo list in order from quickest to longest.

Sometimes I ask ChatGPT to order my todo list by importance.

Thanks for sharing, this is interesting to me.
This response suggests knowledge that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan is imminent.
Re:Whatever Happened to Cheap EReaders? on Monday June 02, 2025 @11:35AM (#44159922)
Good question.

A while back I looked for a phone-sized eReader and was surprised there were none about at a decent price.

I struggle to see what any new device could deliver that a smartphone can't.
Re:Is Philosophy Still Useful in the Age of Science? on Friday May 23, 2025 @04:46AM (#44071103)
How can I get in to Philosophy? It seems so overwhelming and so many terms.
I believe it is a security threat to allow Chinese cars in Europe.

Are Americans in denial about the Russia-aligned takeover of their government or have they just stopped caring?
Can I help you with this?

Re: on Friday February 14, 2025 @06:29AM (#43047310)
Interesting. But Chesterton's Fence assumes we can always find out why something was put there, but often we can't, which makes adding barriers easier than removing them—leading to a buildup of unnecessary rules over time?
Re:Show HN: Teaching a $14 ESP32 to Detect and Auto-Mute TV Ads on Wednesday February 12, 2025 @11:39AM (#43027011)
I believe it's more than just an interesting project—it has the potential to be a commercial product.
Re:Representation of BBC News Content in AI Assistants [pdf] on Wednesday February 12, 2025 @11:30AM (#43026916)
What's a reliable benchmark for measuring "AI Distortion" in these models, allowing for consistent tracking over time and potential improvement?
Re:Representation of BBC News Content in AI Assistants [pdf] on Wednesday February 12, 2025 @11:22AM (#43026853)
TLDR; I got ChatGPT to summarise.
Re:Show HN: Teaching a $14 ESP32 to Detect and Auto-Mute TV Ads on Wednesday January 29, 2025 @06:14AM (#42863705)
Ha, that's amazing.

I wonder what's a way to detect ADs just from audio. Maybe by volume?

Re:Sweden Seizes Ship Suspected of Baltic Sea 'Sabotage' on Monday January 27, 2025 @05:23AM (#42839436)
When is the West going to start standing up to Russia on these cable sabotages?
Re:AI is creating a generation of illiterate programmers on Friday January 24, 2025 @10:29AM (#42814017)
But is a programmer who uses AI to program the same as

a Typescript programmer who doesn't understand JavaScript well?
Or a Python programmer who doesn't know C?
Or a C programmer who doesn't know assembly code?
Or an assembly coder who doesn't make his own PCBs?
Is AI orchestration just adding another layer of abstraction to the top of the programming stack?
She blocked a motorway. Very dangerous and should be punished accordingly. No sympathy.
Reddit is now only useful as data for AI training.

Self-Driving cars will make roads safer and open up cheap travel for millions of people.
Re:Waymo will bring autonomous vehicles to Tokyo on Tuesday December 17, 2024 @06:25AM (#42440477)
This gives me hope WayMo might come to the UK after Japan.
Re:A liar who always lies says "All my hats are green." on Monday December 09, 2024 @09:34AM (#42366547)
A way to think about it is, if you went into the liars house to prove him wrong, you could find one non-green hat to prove him wrong. If he has no hats you wouldn't be able to prove him wrong.

Which reminds me of a quote from the British TV series Yes Minister: "A good speech isn't one where we can prove he's telling the truth. It's one in which nobody else can prove he's lying!"

Re:A New Way to Learn Complex Topics in Minutes a Day on Thursday November 21, 2024 @10:09AM (#42205007)
I think better than a 14 day free trial may be one course being free. Or the first few lessons being free.
That would be the Chinese in Chinese ship.
