So basically, filters.

And also. None of this is a challenge at all. R.o. water is simple

Silicone will corode in nature.

Ive seen colapseable fall apart left outside

Re:How Israel is testing AI in war against Palestinians on Sunday July 02, 2023 @09:04AM (#36561111)
They didnt. World census data shows 340000 less jewish people existing after ww2. And the gas chamber was fiction, it(the supposed inatallation) wouldnt have worked and no chemival traces.

Hitler had a jewiah biological father who was related to a Large banking system.

Hey whatever bypasses them laws. The money and influence to supercede them is just too expenaive for most of us
It sounds disgusting
I propose srwer systems actively digest the swage.and sequester the methane.

Trash gasification with catalytic exhaust system can extract metals wgile making electricity with trash.
Terraform africa and in turn dis-locate ocean water. Use nuclear, mini industrialized locations so less sending goods around the planet.. there are lots of methods.
Carbon fiber submarine wascracking and cracking morw instead of high yeild steel. Its incredibly stupid sounding
Re:Sea Floating Solar Panels on Sunday June 18, 2023 @08:55AM (#36379878)
If a long un capsizeable boat with hot swappable battery modules had epoxied panels and electric power then it could autonomously go out to a location, fill up, and come back to base.

We could fill 10% of the ocean with solar vehicles like this while using them for a futristic train hop.

I think such a vehicle though should be capturing hydrogen though because the Speed at which they store isnt an issue at such a scale: off loading hydrogen stored in magnesium hydride pellet tanks would be most ideal.

This way, nuclear will have to put up or shut up

Re:Schools should teach AI to every child on Saturday June 17, 2023 @11:24PM (#36377020)
Ultimately a person needs to sign off or filter what any media agent or LLM "says" in a class room. AI is a program made by people and not a creation unto its own liability where people can look to it and say, "it doesnt lie"
Re:What Character Was Removed from the Alphabet? on Saturday June 17, 2023 @11:12PM (#36376966)
In the early 1800s, school children reciting their ABCs concluded the alphabet with the &.

It would have been confusing to say “X, Y, Z, and.” So, the students said, “and per se and.” Per se means “by itself,” so the students were essentially saying, “X, Y, Z, and by itself and.”

So it was just some shorthand tossed in there

Re:The Society of Mind – Marvin Minsky (1988) on Saturday June 17, 2023 @09:41AM (#36370079)
We can have dreams with dark or perverse imagry that can be very unnerving. The brain and consciousness can act seperate from our intentions and also parts of the body ad brain may leave us and so our self changes.

It is a persons Karma that influences their direction and "light and dark" karma seeds take short time and log times to mature.

With what we call 'mine' too is only based in our control of the form.

""The world is swept away. It does not endure. It offers no shelter. There’s no one in charge. It has nothing of its own. One has to pass on, leaving everything behind. The world is insufficient, insatiable, a slave to craving."" https://www.dhammatalks.org/books/Meditations2/Section0039.h...

Re:The Society of Mind – Marvin Minsky (1988) on Saturday June 17, 2023 @09:30AM (#36370013)
He says: " Self is the part of mind that's really me, or rather, it's the part of me — that is, part of my mind — that actually does the thinking and wanting and deciding and enjoying and

suffering. It's the part that's most important to me because it's that which stays the same through all experience — the identity which ties everything together. And whether you can treat it scientifically or not, I know it's there, because it's me. Perhaps it's the sort of thing that Science can't explain "

Your 'self' is composed of what you i-make or my-make("i-making and my-making") and its determined by what we have control of. What attributes of conscisousness leave us we can no longer say is us and so much of our comprised or exhibited consciousness is not nessicarilly always us, who we are essentially. After death our consciousness would be comprised from faculties not of the body but ever breifly of the universe. If we decide to move from that Nirvana experence back to Samsara-ing like before it's an issue of which form to take upon. Or if the friviltly and unreleased nature of samsara is finally understood (you know, if not trapped in what ILL call The Great Hell) then the 'person'/being would wanna take a left at Nirvana and say screw this and go to The Unbound, the third cosmological construct that which exists.

Lemme save hackernews readers alot of time; accesstoinsight.org dhammatalks.org here you have a colledge taught man who studied the Pali Cannon with right intention who writes above his weight class.

This link though ia intereatig and will read more. I dont mean to disredit it so much

Fascinating
Re:The Reddit Blackout Is Breaking Reddit on Saturday June 17, 2023 @08:27AM (#36369638)
Think of reddit like a first apartment. People are happy to find it and then realize the neighbors suck and the quality isnt what it first seemed
No. Augmented reality is great for engineering, security and many other workplace settings. employers will be knowing Exactly how stoned employees are. apple made a design for designs to be built on and no it isnt a waste. Just boring
Its funny for a large publication to tell their readership to stop scaring kids with death (did i say that right?).
Re:It's time for a nationwide ban of right-on-red turns on Thursday June 15, 2023 @07:44PM (#36348653)
No.

You need blinker laws (i cycle every day pullig my son on a bafang rearwheel i built myself on a ti frame).

I am next to the passenger door of a right on red turnig vehicle and there is plenty of communication and observance going on... yet leaving from the other side of the street can become an issue if i dont know the driver is turning Right in from of me. So a blinker is needed and Often not used because they may be in a turn only lane and not think its needed.

Im not saying to be like minnesotans and use a blinker while on a exit ramp but yeah.

Another issue is dark tint. It really ought be where,,, if you have it you have a special permit so you are trained to Look: safety on the road stems from eye contact and obsevance.

Turning cars dont look both ways on a one way yet bicycles and pedestrians travel two ways on a one way.

Fast Company is selling you all short. Listen to me.

Re:U.S. cyberattack impacts federal agencies, NATO allies on Thursday June 15, 2023 @07:26PM (#36348390)
What an advertisement.

These massive data breaches just show how poorly networks and systems are made on the software level.

The CISA needs recruits for their privatised NSA efforts.

Such a show
