“Go to the cloud!”, they said.
The cloud:
Let’s see how their platform design holds up in the coming years, and if it can hold up to LLMs doing more of this same type of discovery and whether MSFT can fix it.
I’m a long time reader and know you can do better than this.
Many of us have been warning that the systems built by presidents before Trump, would be abused by a president like Trump, and here we are. I think the critics of the system are the ones with public welfare in mind and ask you to take a deep breath.
This needs to keep being said and reinforced despite the many people who want to keep this quiet.
I would sooner listen to the children than anyone who takes this position, because my experience has taught me to distrust listening to anyone who demands respect just for existing.
They will be entertained. I laughed harder than my 6 year old, he enjoyed it and probably also enjoyed seeing dad splitting sides. I think for your range they’ll understand and like it more. YMMV
I think you’re being generous because I find this behavior quite disrespectful. Presumably they did so to signal and then talk about themselves.
The system rewards psychopaths like Mark. Decent people, like Tom from MySpace, cash their check when they have more than they need. Demons, like Mark, want more and more and more and more- they will go to any lengths to get it because screw everyone else, they are lessers. That’s Mark and that’s the system rewarding him. We all know Tom is way cooler.
That’s not the AIPAC way, and they are the ones driving right now. Until Congress is cleared out of these scum bags then nothing will change.
Beans are a direct product of plants. I don’t know what you are on about, but I’m sure even the celebrities you take so much stock in consider them “real food”, too. I wouldn’t know, because I have no idea what you’re ranting about.
And you have no idea about theirs.
Wow look at Mr. “I’ve-never-been-poor”, bragging about his privilege. What a flex!
Oh thank god, the farms of the SE US must be ecstatic, and surely we will all benefit from the rainfall hitting
checks notes… Purdue chicken farms.
Oh that’s not a plus and just another American centric knee jerk comment on nothing.
Yes, they can, but what’s your point? It seems reflexive/defensive, like the parent comment was wrong for not caring, and that they could support smaller leagues… but they said they don’t. Some people don’t.
> I felt much more embarrassed and worried about the workers who saw me there all the time than the app knowing i was there all the time.
As you should - this is setting terrible meal expectations for your daughter and fueling a condition that will severely affect her development. No joke - feeding her that garbage is ignoring the problem and making it worse. You should sit down at the table with her instead of going round the drive thru again, and get some interventions other than a stream of chicken nuggets.
> No one is purely good, and no one is purely evil.
This post is utter bullshit and I think we’re all tired of the apologists, especially when it comes to Mark. These “middle of the road, let’s all be nice” solutions haven’t worked at all, and saying “Meta has done enough good” is extraordinarily questionable for those of us who have watched these tools rip apart the social fabric. Absolutely nothing will change when toothless people like yourself try to act like Mark is a normal person - we’ve all seen his fake, robotic, controlling, psychotic behavior over and over and over and over.
There’s a constant cultural stream of validation for their job, and the more narcissistic ones come to collect from it. You’re missing the many who don’t do that.
If you are eating the garbage they sell at supermarkets/chain restaurants then you are not immune to any of this.
Do yourself a favor and get a CSA, a local meat supplier, and knowledge about eating with the seasons.
The whole food supply chain is lined with fecal parasites from field to Sysco sales reps.
> deletes one local copy.
I think you’re being a little too generous here.
My first thought was: did Sam write this?
Hey. It isn’t the same principle. We have guidelines here, too. For instance: “ Please don't use Hacker News for political or ideological battle. It tramples curiosity.” “Avoid generic tangents.” Etc.
That’s why it helps to reframe the gym as training for life by making one stronger at tolerating discomfort. Showing up, consistently, even when you don’t want to, and battling through discomfort, are transferable skills throughout life and progressive training is exactly that.
This is not good advice and please remove the “basically 0 risk of injury” wording. Mobility is a limiting factor and poor body positioning WILL result in injury. Barbells are safe, progressively overloadable, and learning to move them is a straight line is what most people need to do before a lot of calisthenics training. Most people can’t even do 1 pull up.
Would love to see the same attitude extended to everyone, e.g. “respect all people”, but I guess if we don’t put the pussy on a pedestal we’re all authoritarians. If you keep pushing that narrative, you will be disappointed in what happens.
Her source of trust was instagram. The cop’s instagram led her to travel to Arizona and be with him. She was convinced by his instagram that she agreed to do all of this. That’s really dumb and it’s what you get playing stupid games with strangers on the internet.
And flagged 36 minutes after submission right around 104
It’s still pretty surprising that a country so armed to the teeth with ground troops and missile defense systems would have let Oct 7 happen for as long as it did, and with so many people dying. I agree that it was wrong of Israel to do that.
I think retirees need to pay the price, finally accept sacrifice, and pull themselves up by their bootstraps. They can earn $500/month easily working at the many places I see hiring for low skill labor. They aren’t contributing economic value otherwise, and it’s more important that we prepare future generations than to lose even more to the one on the way out.
You could make your own bread so you know what is in it, and how much should be in it, and that way you’d know the difference, and probably be better off knowing you don’t have to forage twigs and berries, or be so dramatic…
No it isn’t. The advice on nutrition is abundantly clear and has been for a long time: eat food, mostly plants, not too much.
That science has pushed GRAS as “food” is abysmal. Lots of you have just been punked.
