> Only a company like Anthropic
No. I worked at an airline where the company typically charged itself higher than retail for tickets. At least, it was the highest fare type.
I worked at a media company - we had to pay top rates in order to buy our own ads for cross selling products.
Finally, I work at a SaaS company who heavily uses our own product. While we don't pay for it - just our cloud hosting bill - it's definitely a discussion point about how we should be a bit more mindful about usage.
Ultimately, the person offering the service gets to decide what the service is.
If I want to make a knitting forum, im not going to feel bad about deleting posts about reverse engineering video games.
T3 Code, Paseo, Conductor, Orca, Jetbrains Air, Jetbrains Thinkrail, etc.
There's 30 million of these and they all look basically identical.
Well, to be fair, Mistral never say its open source. They call it just open weight.
That's quite a loaded other hand.
typescript is two things: a language, and a type system.
that same type system exists in the javascript language (jsdoc). doing those type checks is the 'slow' part that makes go / rust appealing. not just stripping types to emit js.
If an AI agent could vibe-optimise tsgo, why port it all again over to rust?
? That’s the point of film - to compel a perspective.
Yes you can. You can export your passkeys and then import them into whatever android password manager, or 1Password.
I use 1Password to sync all my passkeys between iPhone, Mac, and Windows. It works exceptionally well!
No browser or consumer password manager implements attestation. There's no need for users to know something that's simply not relevant for them.
Every node package manager disables preinstall scripts by default now!
And then undermine that effort by then sending you an official survey or marketing link to secure.bigbank.my.app
But it’s technically possible.
Passkeys are unphishable. It’s technically impossible for someone else to capture your passkey and use it themselves. It’s technically impossible for your passkey to be leaked from a website.
This is what makes Passkeys the superior solution - they bake the security into itself rather than throwing up its hands and hoping all the other weakest links do the right thing consistently.
I presume Anthropic didn’t have any privileged access to any of these websites and services. What differentiates them from any other spam bots or people out there submitting junk to random POST endpoints?
Don’t get me wrong - think Anthropic is acting with not enough scrutiny or punishment here, but the world is already extremely lenient towards this behaviour. Why hold them to a higher standard?
Why are you surprised that a company doesn’t want to make the robot that tells people to kill itself, or drink bleach?
At this point, a mistake like this is indistinguishable from malice.
Are they? This term jailbreak originated from people getting more access to iOS devices.
Oh neat - I’ve been looking for a provider-agnostic version of Claude Artifacts for a while. This might do the trick!
Our saas had an internal-use, undocumented, publicly accessibly but not publicly used (by us) health endpoint that included an internal version number.
We removed the version and a few customers complained we broke their stuff.
Personally, I’ve never seen anyone claim this. At least anyone who one would think is informed on these matters.
Because Google will cut you off from access to the privileged Android access to Play Store, Services and everything else. So it’s basically all or nothing.
> I'm surprised that (particularly non-US) regulators are not investigating them yet.
This is basically the reason Google lost their Play Store anti-trust lawsuit when Apple won theirs. Google did all these incriminating, behind closed doors deals to lock out competition from their “open ecosystem”, where Apple never pretended to be open to behind with.
As a web developer in 2014 when I first heard about react, I had never heard about WM_PAINT as I was not a Win32 developer.
The new issues and PR search, and new listings UI is great improvement. More functionality and more dense UI showing more things.
Improvements to Projects have been really good. Personally, I find no need for external project management tools anymore.
The issues and projects team(s?) have been cooking.
> I’m surprised at the negativity here
I’m not at all. People around here love to hate GitHub, and think any change to a product or design is incredibly regressive. These to combine and people lose their minds.
You can save custom filters to that page as well, if helpful.
I've always used Enterprise per-token billing for Claude Code and I've never understood these nerf complaints. I've never noticed any slow downs at certain times of day, or a gradual decline in quality.
