If you live in some tiny EU city then sure or a small US town then sure. It's unrealistic for 99% of Americans. My girlfriend lives 17 miles away. My job is 12. I rode a bike when I lived in a town small enough that I could ride a bike across it and most of the roads were residential.
If x owned the entire entire street than yes. It isn't even remotely a good comparison.
You mean like youtube owning gaming, music etc?
Reddit has grown large enough to lose any identity it once had. It used to be tech literate, now it is really just the average population.
Same goes for me on the timing. If I take it more than an hour before I lay down to sleep it will not help me at all.
If the ai doomers win then Nvidia will become nationalized and compute power will be heavily regulated, preventing any individual from having local ai.

For a solo indie dev it is far more than enough. There are solutions to any physics problems you encounter. The 3d in Godot 4 is quite beautiful
Re:Brave Launches Self-Serve Ads Program on Wednesday April 05, 2023 @01:23AM (#35449646)
I completely agree. It feels very dirty. You take away the source of income for the creators to earn an extra dollar for yourself.
Re:Bitwarden Design Flaw on Monday January 23, 2023 @10:38PM (#34498858)
I never enter or remember any of the passwords bitwarden generates for me, I have an app and an extension for that.
Re:What ChatGPT Can't Do on Saturday December 24, 2022 @08:26PM (#34123096)
I asked just now the same question. The first word it listed was lunar. It's listed 4 other words that end in "ar" that were all 5 letters, but did not have an N

Mr beast has talked about this, and it almost always is beneficial for the person who's content is getting "stolen". You aren't losing views, you are gaining exposure. Your channel grows because of this, not shrinks.
Re:Google combines Maps and Waze teams in restructuring move on Thursday December 08, 2022 @10:46PM (#33917178)
I have been stuck on one way roads at a train crossing for 30 minutes at a time, making me way late for work. So I would actually love that in google maps.
Re:The Slow Goodbye to Twitter on Saturday December 03, 2022 @12:17PM (#33845118)
Other than a bunch of people complaining about how Twitter is changing, I haven't seen any change at all.
Thank the good lord, this site is a savior for broke college kids and insanely priced text books
Re:Twitter launches $8 monthly subscription with blue checkmark on Saturday November 05, 2022 @07:55PM (#33487220)
Anybody with a blog claiming to be a journalist could get verified, I saw plenty of verified accounts that were nobody scammers.
Re:It looks like I’m moving to Mastodon on Saturday November 05, 2022 @07:07AM (#33480294)
I still think people are just mad because verified won't be a status symbol anymore. Vanity, nothing more. No matter how Musk handled this, he would've gotten hate because he is just a controversial dude, and he does like to stir the pot.
What country would that be in? Sounds amazing! 10 euros for gigabit!
$300! Wow. I pay about 80 from Comcast for the same service, actually unsure if it has a soft cap. We average about 600gb per month usage. Comcast is also our one and only choice so I am at their mercy with price changes.
Too many people seem to believe that real conspiracies don't exist. They certainly do, and we can't stifle conversation that proposes the possibility.
Re:PayPal restores vague speech fine on Thursday October 27, 2022 @04:36AM (#33354847)
Will these policies apply to venmo as well, considering they are owned by paypal?
It tests in grammatically correct English. Libraries are free. The internet exists. You can't expect a college to cover basic English writing that should have been learned over a lifetime.

Re:IKEA’s Crimes Against Cartography on Friday October 14, 2022 @04:05AM (#33200839)
If you want solid wood desks and furniture, then ikea is terrible quality. If you want a desk that a 10 year old can pick up and move on his own, ikea is great quality.
Re:Ugliest Airplane Ever Built Predicted the Future on Sunday October 09, 2022 @09:58PM (#33147075)
Agreed! It looks like a cartoon plane, quite cute. Just imagine baby Yoda sticking his head out of that thing, people would love it.
I feel that it has created a global community, but few seem to recognize it.
Manly water for manly men who don't drink disgusting feminine h2o
Re:Nier Automata for Switch is a miracle port on Saturday October 01, 2022 @06:53AM (#33045605)
I find it fascinating you could sonsider a game to be the greatest of all time when the gameplay itself isn't good. Is gameplay not the most important part of a game? It's like saying the greatest movie of all time, except for the plot. The greatest car, except for the driving. The greatest winter coat, except for staying warm.
Re:The journey to Nintendo Switch on Friday September 23, 2022 @05:52PM (#32957555)
I only use Nintendo hardware for Nintendo software and I'm never disappointed!
