Re:HyperShell X Outdoor PowerSuit Exoskeleton on Monday March 10, 2025 @09:04PM (#43328091)
i like how its made for rich people with loads of hype consumerism hiking gear so they can go LARP in the woods away from their email job for 3 hours, and not helping people with paralysis or the elderly. that's cool and good.

too bad she's not doing anything useful with her life, only causing death and destruction
no and also i just noticed you have “realist” in your username, i didn’t even do that on purpose, lmao bozo
its rougher because of america, not in spite of it. its a self-reinforcing feedback loop. implying you are the grown up in the room because you are 'realist' about this or whatever is a classic dimwit take.
Re:Active North Korean campaign targeting security researchers on Thursday September 07, 2023 @02:37PM (#37423578)
maybe the US should end the korean war so the DPRK no longer has to defend as hard, would be a good start

dangerously fast, this shouldn't be legal. if you were to build a drag racing car to those speeds you'd need a cage certified to 7.50s, something like this https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0362/8420/3141/products/25...

Re:American Passports Are Worthless Now (Map) on Sunday July 12, 2020 @11:51AM (#23812224)
no, of course not, i'm saying that the political will to fix this isn't there, and to a point was never there, and we are now past the point of no return, thus this doomsaying like in the original post is bluntly and sadly correct.
Re:American Passports Are Worthless Now (Map) on Sunday July 12, 2020 @11:13AM (#23811966)
the latter is completely caused by the former, we are, in fact, doomed. the effective course was already ignored by those in power, months ago. now the outbreak is big enough in the south to be uncontrollable, contact tracing is worthless, testing is near worthless (7 day test turnaround!), anything other than a full extreme lockdown will not stop this, and that isn't happening.
Re:American Passports Are Worthless Now (Map) on Sunday July 12, 2020 @10:50AM (#23811767)
no one reading this is gonna 'swing to his side', the people aren't already trying to control the pandemic are already too hard-headed to even consider swinging, at least until them or their family members start dropping dead.

the implication that america is unable to respond to the pandemic because A Guy Was Mean in a Medium Post is ridiculous

at least China is open about it, and has tons of socialist policies so people don't die from poverty.

yes, we all know what hanlons razor is, thanks. that indication does not matter in the least, nor is it in any way provable. the rich completely ignoring their domination over the poor does not make them less culpable. it's almost worse, in a way.
> That's not eugenics, that's not mean, that's not classism, that's not racism, that's common sense.

it is the material conditions of classism, racism, and hate that causes the poverty in the first place, with the intentional outcome of making the lower class suffer, so the rich can have more. this IS eugenics. you say it isn't, but in the preceeding paragraph, straight up say that poor people have no business having kids. unbelievable.

complete conjecture, there is a giant cohort of people older than 30, crushed by debt and medical bills, stuck in menial jobs because their parents couldn't afford college. you're telling me that the janitor that cleans your office isn't hard working? or the factory-worker that makes your clothes? are they all just lazy morons that don't deserve to reproduce?

please, just go mask-off, be true to yourself, and admit you just want eugenics. you're already A-OK with the death and suffering of children.

so only the rich should reproduce? absolutely disgusting mindset. nobody chooses a life of poverty, and the overwhelming inequality of our current society both perpetuates and exacerbates it.
not sure what your problem was, i had two TDI's and did buybacks for both and, though it took a while, the experience was pleasant and the offer was generous.
the whole notion of 'electability' is a ruse created by democrats to push voters towards politicians that agree more with the corporate wing of the party than any issues people care about. if electability was actually a thing, trump would not have won.

the watch measures from two locations actually, through the wrist and through a finger on the crown. you're still right that 3 (and more) is better.
0.6% of 737 MAX aircraft delivered have been lost in unsurvivable accidents... similar numbers to orbital rockets. yikes.
