No, that is already solved by gpg.

Stop trying to make blockchain happen, it's not going to happen.

Linking to a page that links to the source is wild.
Do you do something special for these ewes, like give them more food or something?
Re:I trained a 360M model to pretend to be a terminal on Thursday October 22, 2026 @05:14AM (#50193072)
Isn't that just the turing test? I suppose you have you answer now that models can easily pass it.
Could you link a source? Not even the weights, just the news that there was a leak. I'm chronically online and I haven't heard about this.
What are you implying here? That someone has created their own LLM therefore they are running a closed weight model on their own computer? Or that someone was somehow able to get the weights of a closed commercial model (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc) and is running that on their home computer?

Re:Do dentists know what they're doing? on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @05:00PM (#50095174)
I regularly get food particles out of my molars using floss that brushing wouldn't have been able to, so for me it works.
Re:'Jonathan' Is the Oldest Land Animal on Earth on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @08:47PM (#50000682)
I dunno, I think he's pretty charismatic. He has all these researchers wanting to spend time with him.
Re:Why Common Lisp Is Now the Best Programming Language on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @04:06AM (#49975601)
What about being a classical software engineer makes you hate Go?

Stage a coup to usurp your boss.
Re:Commit description as a thinking tool on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @06:38PM (#49915383)
I suspect there's a prompt one can add to improve the consumption of commit messages for humans, just that the default one is pretty bad. Kind of similar to the AI generated posters a few weeks back: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49764791.
$500,000? That's just the price for the garage.
Re:Minimal Phone 2 on Saturday September 19, 2026 @04:45AM (#49764610)
Aren't long nails difficult for anything that requires finger dexterity, like in touch screen phones?

Also the parent comment reminded me of this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VjpcLplkMUs

Need to get the budget for those tokens somewhere.
Re:Fable hacked my piano, can I release the results? on Monday September 07, 2026 @04:41AM (#49595670)
> makes a hacker news post from an 11 year old account

> jumps through a lot of inconvenient hoops to "anonymously" publish code

Something doesn't add up there.

Re:Engineers will do anything to avoid learning from history on Saturday August 15, 2026 @07:45PM (#49315395)
Can you share some details of the workflows that work for you?
The Ukraine war was far from the start of things. Wars were still happening in other parts of the world long before that.

As a wise man once said, we didn't start the fire. It was always burning since the world's been turning.

Re:Advertise in ChatGPT on Tuesday July 21, 2026 @06:44PM (#48999369)
Please don't give the ad industry any more ideas. Paying for ads? That wasn't in my tech dystopia bingo card.
Re:Goodbye, and Thanks for All the Bikesheds on Sunday July 19, 2026 @08:20AM (#48967502)
I would have assumed code reviews would have sussed out those issues earlier in the cycle?
Re:The Human-in-the-Loop Is Tired on Friday July 17, 2026 @08:06AM (#48946347)
There is no art without process though. The art is the process. Is an automatic piano more beautiful than a world class pianist? Of course not.

I am not strictly equating this to coding though. Like the GP sometimes I am driven more by the product than by being able to make it by hand. But that does not mean vibe coding, I still make sure the code is up to my standards.

Re:I also filed the corners off my MacBook on Thursday July 16, 2026 @06:41AM (#48932717)
My very first mobile was a Bosch. I had no idea they even made phones. I wanted a Nokia though, but I was able to get that later.
Re:Show HN: One More Letter on Wednesday July 15, 2026 @09:35PM (#48929418)
kiters = kiteboarders. Welcome to Australia, the country where the words are made up and meanings don't matter.
Did they also eventually win their freedom like in the article?
I swear, some people are too quick to be offended or just can't recognize sarcasm.
