1. Why would you want to use several different cli tools? 2. It's not clear to me how this is different fundamentally than just committing your dotfiles?
I don't really. I just tell claude to find the conversation I had with claude about X and it usually does that and then gives me a resume link, which I can then just get back to the conversation with.

I’d love to see a post like this for JS that actually talks about things people run into. Usually when people make a post like this in js, its about archaic things nobody actually uses.

Who cares what you think of someone else’s qualifications?

It’s just someone quoting someone to help ground their position.

What if it was a journalist writing about a security vulnerability then a programmer quoting them, would that count then?

You want to normalize low ambitions?

I have no idea what this does or is. I really wish they could have given a better description of why this is useful.

I think my biggest question is who cares? What does having an interesting internal architecture have to do with the “its electron though” ideological attack.

the thing about abstractions is that nothing implies that they aren’t leaky abstractions, which may be worse than no abstraction for future bug hunters

Are there any other $50B+ Valuation companies that care about special situations? If so, who?

Re:We've raised $17M to build what comes after Git on Saturday April 11, 2026 @10:19AM (#47730863)
Git does not ‘just work’, hence the creations of jj and every git wrapper cli/ui in the past N years with serious traction (>100).
Re:We've raised $17M to build what comes after Git on Saturday April 11, 2026 @10:17AM (#47730846)
Nothing in this project looks vibecoded. I compel you to try vibecoding this in a couple weeks if you think it’s possible, and then after that to build a business out of it. If the only thing stopping you is the code, you should give it a try.
Re:We've raised $17M to build what comes after Git on Saturday April 11, 2026 @10:13AM (#47730802)
There’s no business in working with an existing community to add functionality. And hence, where do you think the full time developers working on the project would get their livelihood?

Yes you could add all these things to git, but no, nobody will give you $17M to do it, nor will you find competent engineers who are willing to work for whatever funding they can find for “improving git”, which in all reality will probably round down to 0 in comparison to several software engineer’s salaries.

This version is better than OP’s

Why do rich people raise money when they already have money?

1) because they can

2) it's their money, not company money, and again, why would you risk your own money when someone else wants to risk their money?

I understand the concern, it feels like they are taking the last thing you had left. But in honesty, whatever you think your moat is will surely be gone in a few model iterations. And even if it's not, do you really think you own any text on the screen of your work computer?
Re:How to stop checking your phone all day on Friday April 10, 2026 @07:09AM (#47716308)
The number one tip I can give is put it in a different room. The number two tip I can give is to find something else to sink your time into. Get really into books, tv, whatever, just anything to stretch the time between your next phone pickup. A lot of people will ask what's the point if I get into something else. The point is that learning how to stay away from your phone will teach you how to stay off of it even when you are away from the distractions.
It sounds very silly but it sounds like they need to add a phase before research that finds a profiler and runs it before just guessing what optimizations may be beneficiary.
People think that just because they have a way to prove that an image is AI, their worries of misinformation are solved. Better to acknowledge that wherever you look people will be trying to deceive you even if their content won't have as obvious an indicator as SynthID.
becoming? under most posts that even in passing mention using AI tools there are multiple people raising their noses talking about how much they hate AI use

Is Microsoft (one of the largest companies in the world) really a victim of brand death?

Re:The cult of vibe coding is insane on Tuesday April 07, 2026 @09:15AM (#47674888)
It must feel so good to make a blog post that hates on vibecoding and get your mandated recognition for a regurgitated point. Nobody is even arguing that this article said anything novel, it’s just pure hate
You're right, I offer these alternatives:

The required cover letter for a $120k-$130k/y job is 3 - 4 short paragraphs explaining why you're interested in Innolitics and this particular position.

Re:Vulnerability Research Is Cooked on Monday March 30, 2026 @06:01PM (#47580261)
What about this article raises this question? If anything, this article makes it pretty clear that memory safe languages are a win. It seems like a serious disadvantage to require a nondeterministic program to evaluate your code's safety.
This is crazy. It's especially crazy how nonchalantly the employees are replying. The person suggesting that Railway should clearly show the effected logs is right.
Might be worth taking a weekend day and letting claude code reverse engineer the apk (just download the apk off google) and then build an open source app with the functions you need
