it's gonna kill the self in a lot of people, if it hasn't done that already ... best example is people who want to be in film and music but are too bad even after years and now resort to AI or wannabe-writers and wannabe-journalists and wannabe-bloggers with zero real effort and sweat and pain and time put in now resorting to bot farms to collect ideas and AI hacking to steal ideas and pseudo-sabotage and distract some people to steal their attention and waste that of others.
it's so weird what the old guard "electively" ignored and fostered (people without money and opportunity managed well until they got sabotaged but people with money never got sabotaged and still.. this?) ... they just wanted their descendants to perform this bad and ugly? not better, harder, faster, stronger, smarter? so boring, ... but character and personal preference until the self is gone. copypasta, copypasta everywhere... and the few with ideas, it's always been a few, are definitely not going to share their good stuff no more.
this would be the time to revive and evolve some of that Made In Germany Engineering ...
my fair lady gained a bit weight and the bjs lack variety? [ I'm certain that that's a quote from some time ago by some commenter in a thread with a similar or even the same context ...but my Amnesia (T▽T ):・゚:・゚] fuck off.
you open two files, before and after you notice a nerf, and from worse comments to logical oversights, it's all damn obvious.
don't normalize this make believe bullshit and misleading people who you think barely understand what they see anyway ...
you wouldn't even know if models had somehow timed nerfs hardcoded into them, however much control over the stack you have.
ridiculous
so unconsciously in that context is absolutely correct but not in a way one would expect while "someone else" is incorrect. Monkey see monkey do until monkey is (immersed) in a loopy-do flow. This goes on until monkey finds one of infinite doors to consciousness and a part of it's self.
The crazy part is another one: once people successfully mimic, and they don't feel fulfilled, they often don't have the guts to admit that and just roll with it because "social proof". A bit fucked up in the head, if you ask me, but whatever. A lot of people also rather roll with wanting what others want even though there is a distinct feeling of disgust (*guts out, not mine, doesn't belong to _self_*) ...
Full disclosure: didn't even open the link.
to me, they all look like lazy-prompting, which is the only way I ever do genAI imaging, because I fail to see why that "CPU" should be wasted on something I barely even care for.
That said ... let kids do that shit and pay them 50 or 100 bucks ...
The issue is that in my walled garden, I have not seen any of the good AI stuff. My wardens still use some home trained GPT 3.5 for most stuff, including their songs on potify and bootube. And i can't get access to current top level public AIs, either. Had the actual ChatGPT and Claude models for some while but I knew why ... otherwise I might put effort into semantics, syntax, grammar and my image generation prompts, which currently look like some MITM is speedrunning collages using haiku cowork and crayons or something ...
This will happen a lot.
People assume and even predict that some collectors' pieces will be worth tons of money. People did that for centuries.
Now big corps are gonna buy up those undisclosed solutions for top dollar.
gg, well played to the people who didn't and don't need the credit.
bbng to the corps who need that to fake progress in the field and of their models. booooo! booooooo! you should be ashamed of yourselves! booooo!
PS: even nobody needs none of those "I can fuck over idiots plays. Everybody needs proper progress, research, investigations, smarter users. It's 2026. That qualitatively cheap money will only breed more cheap money and more cheap users and suppliers! Who the hell wants their neighborhood or planet to have more of the cheap stuff? What the hell happened to these peoples' brain circuits? Somebody should investigate! (maybe some tech journalists are already on it!? ...)
