Total blast from the past. I remember I bought my Voodoo 1. It was the Diamond 3DFX card. I bought it in 1995 and it was amazing. GL was so optimized. For gl quake. Back then Windows, Direct 3D was just slow. But then later Nvidia started to come out with more capable gpus such as TNT and they eventually took over the gaming market.
Your comment resonates with me due to the cognitive dissonance of seeing the benefits and issues with AI as far as development work. I have been struggling to identify a process improvement that AI can improve not only the development aspect by the overall productivity of our company. We are a dev shop mostly C++ and python. At our company I see the development workflow and it is very inefficient. The biggest issue is communication. AI can certainty increase the coding output and velocity, but the rest of the process relies on humans.

The benefit of Ventoy is that you can continue to use the same USB drive for storage, in addition to have the ability to boot from any number of .iso files on the drive. Extremely useful
The reality is these platforms are optimized to use any content to increase page views and ad revenue. I am typically not an advocate of regulation, however at the very least restrict these platforms to 18 and older
What type of hardware, GPU are you utilizing? I have the same model self hosted at home
I had my fully updated PS5 powered off for about a month. I could not login because it needed a new firmware update. But I could not connect to Ethernet for some reason. Swiched to wifi, downloaded the update but I failed to install. Required a few reboots. Now this is not a typical experience but it is far from the Sega genesis and Nintendo SNES cartridge games that worked flawless

Re:Why Working from Home Will Stick [pdf] on Sunday January 24, 2021 @01:29AM (#25889833)
When I was at the office, there were always two or three people who stopped by my desk every day, and just wanted to talk about some BS thing. Now with work from home I never hear from them. Because they realize that this was non-work related and if they send me an email or chat, that is going to be on the record
No it needs a Google account, but you can setup a burner account

Check your power supply. I just replaced a power supply on a pc I built in 2012. The system was unstable and shutting down after five minutes of being on

My Pentium 60 I bought in 1995 for $2200 came with 4 mb of RAM. I later upgraded it to 8 mb. 540 MB hard drive, 2x CD ROM drive. It ran just about everything I had until I built my next computer in ‘98

They do, with Server 2019 for corporate servers. But your point is that no one is running Server 201x as their desktop OS, unlike the NT 4 .1 days, which then was rebranded into windows 2000, or NT 5

How much is your time worth? Doing it manually is a pain in the ass and takes a lot of time. Deleteme is not perfect, but they do a pretty good job. Customer since 2010
Can they help me recover my bitlocker password for a usb drive?
I do not and will never trust either company. If I had to choose a top tech company, I would probably pick Apple, although they do have an ad network and have a lot information about you if you are in their ecosystem. Also stay away from Facebook and Amazon based on privacy. If you really want to go with 100% privacy, you could say goodbye to you all these companies and forget about the convenience and using all their services. For me, I’m trying to stay the hell away from Google. I found it really difficult to get away from Gmail, google voice and Waze.
