think we should be focusing on the academic journal rather than the sketchy news site. this seems to be a legitimate study.

or...from the perspective that much of Europe views it. American politics is bunk, bought and sold by corporations that think of nothing but profit, by design. literally a country where bribery is legal and encouraged

what if I told you that Democrats aren't even on the left, when it comes to the rest of the world?

seeing CNN and "progressive" in the same context befuddles me - these guys are center-right in almost every sense. I guess that's just where the Overton window is nowadays
Re:In a small Virginia town, citizens review police like Uber drivers

no, a state where the police/government has a monopoly on violence is the dystopia. and we already live in it. giving citizens a way to speak up about potential abuses is in no way harmful

I'm currently working on implementing this same sort of platform at an FI. Most of these vendors have the same exact product, give or take a few key features (like visual programming with Dataiku, cloud/on-prem hosting, etc.).
The biggest thing that I've seen that is missing from almost all of them is a robust data ingestion and transformation engine. THAT'S what I'm interested in seeing.

To further your point, NLTK is written in pure Python whereas the backend for spaCy, thinc, is written in C/C++/Python. Really no comparison here.

Author may want to implement a labelling method for users for a days to maybe train the discriminator a little bit better. Would be a cool human-in-the-loop exercise.

How exactly is Amazon's second HQ going to give the general populace of New York (wait, sorry, only those "work for a living") the opportunity of a lifetime?

To somewhat further your point, take a look at /r/greentext and /r/4chan. While the posts themselves are only somewhat racist, the comments that accompany them are disgustingly edgy and juvenile - they're not being downvoted however. I don't think anything is likely to be done to these subreddits.
Re:Tyson chicken nuggets might contain rubber, USDA warns

OP mentions 'factory farms', which are where most of the affordable meat in the US (and probably the world as well) comes from. Most people can't afford to buy free-range chicken, and are left with stuff like factory-farmed producers like Tyson and Purdue.

This is exactly how I quit vaping a few years ago. Crazy, right? Offer 0% nic Juul pods for parents to buy their kids and they'll stop giving a shit after a while.

But how does Captcha know that your answers are correct? There's likely already a predictive model that knows (within some confidence intervals) which ones are the 'correct' answers - someone had to label that data to begin with! Chicken, meet egg.

Amazon has a mechanical turking service for labelling data already - no need to actually put people on your payroll for doing this.
