But Apple advertising says we have privacy!
I'm pretty grossed out that the internet has been taken over by the government.

Blocking cookies should be done by users via software.

This is only going to make the barrier to entry higher and more expensive.

I have no idea what many small non tech businesses would do? Pay a few thousand every year when standards change?

iPhone was just slow with apps and annoying with sign in and update requests. This was annoying.

And they lacked features I was used to. I hear they finally got widgets, so that I suppose is solved.

Debatable.

Personally this is a con.

Dang I'm the total opposite. 1 round in the Apple ecosystem and I'd never touch their products again.

I can't understand the appeal outside the marketing gimmicks.

It's great, but I don't see a path higher.

Seeing this is concerning. I'm 8 years into design Engineering(and self taught programming 12 yes) and at 125k. It seems there is no way up without extreme speciality. I know a FAANG guy making 160k doing server Java but we both think it's a temporary anomaly.

I thought embedded might pay better than design Engineering, but I haven't seen too many people saying they make significantly more.

I'm not sure how to angle my career. I've peaked?

Current thoughts, side business is ultra important for a pay raise. Maybe AI.

I don't understand. You stopped using Ubuntu server because of snap?

Can you clarify?
