Re:Atom is better than RSS, in ways that matter

Most of the online content I consume comes to me either via RSS or Atom (I don't have numbers on the split). Not once have I thought - "Gosh darn it, this blog uses RSS instead of Atom, even though Atom is so obviously the better choice. Now I don't even want to add this blog to my feed." ...

There's a spirit in the machine, and if you are quiet enough, and patient enough, and willing to let yourself believe, you can even heart it talk to you, long into the night.

You don't get to hit other obstacles if you don't have the ability to run the code and play with it.

So a project is using a GPL licence, but instead of forking you harass the authors and you somehow think that you are the smart one and that you are doing anyone a favour?

I don't want to downplay the argument, and more importantly - the author's feelings about the topic, but I'd suggest (unsolicited, sorry) the author take some hobbies away from the screen, find a decent friend or two and spend more time with them, and stop or at least reduce the time spent reading news/twitter/whatever.

Haven't used spotify in years, but they used to have programmed and live ads in podcasts, even for paying subscribers. That's one of the reasons I've gave up on them. Just insulting for consumers.

Nice idea. Well done on the implementation.
One tiny nitpick - layout is uncomfortable. More than 1/4th of the screen width is taken by the calendar widget (and even more when there's multiple windows open side-by-side), and the editor widget/area is off-center.
Also, showing the weather in the note itself is a cool idea. It pairs well with the journal nature of the app.
Thanks for sharing!
